Behr,
I am having some friends down from Nashtmrw going to do the usual Steaks and potatoes on the grill. I bought a bunch of zuchini and squash. Was wondering what is the best way to prepare it on the grill?. I usually top rack it with olive oil, salt, and pepper precut wrapped in al foil. Is this the best way?

Best easiest. Yes! IMO.

What up with the new girl? Is she a troll or Alter?

Don't know been trying to treat her as a normal noob. But all hell has broken loose and am confused of who she is but if not an alter doubt she will stick around after all the accusations.

Just looked at your pics to see your dog.

How in the WORLD do you keep the tangles out of your hair?? Mine is just past mid way down my back and I cuss it every morning.

Ha! Its an uphill battle :) lots of conditioner, a lightweight leavein, and I keep it braided at night :)

Hmmm.... wonder if bacon fat would be good for conditioning my beard?

It certainly would smell nice. :)

Follow up report on the bacon (in case anybody was holding their breath in anticipation): it turned out awesome. My wife cut up and fried a bunch and put it in a batch of halushki. Delicious! Probably the best batch so far.

I can't wait until Saturday morning so I can have some with some pan-cookens and syrup, or maybe a breakfast hash w/ bacon... :p

Hey Bare, I'm still thinking about the stainless steel pots. I know you use Viking but do you think the Calphalon stainless steel is good as well?

Behr....whats the best cut of meat to use as a pot roast? Ive used chuck before but would like something a little leaner

so, behr, we see lots of rice vinegar at the store and lots of wine vinegar at the store. didn't see rice wine vinegar.

will rice vinegar work like rice wine, or will it just not taste the same?

Not Behr, but I'll throw in my :twocents:.

First off, here's a link w/ lots of info: Rice vinegar vs. Rice wine vinegar

As to will it make a difference which you use? Probably not. Unless the vinegar is the starring ingredient, which I would doubt, it is mostly just lending some tartness and brightness of flavor to the recipe, and it would take quite an expert palate to discern the difference in the finished product, I would think.
