sounds pretty damn special to me. nice!

Yea, I guess I meant nothing complicated. Labor intensive, but I usually like it that way. I just julienne cut the jalapeños and layed a piece in the cut where I deveined the shrimp, wrapped in bacon and brushed the sauce on while they grilled. Didn't have fresh pineapple, so I used canned. Diced and mixed them and a little juice with the honey.

Your picture, haha, nice of you to cut it so we could see the temp. New York strip? I'd like to say that's some type of Demi glaze, but I would expect to see some mushrooms and I don't. A balsamic reduction would be good, but it seems like the wrong texture. I give. What's the sauce. I know it's not A1.:)

Pineapple does something weird to my stomach. I like it, but my stomach does not.

Yes, it's a beef demi-glace with pot roast seasoning and butter. Unfortunately, the wife got sirloins.

A.1. only goes on fries, BTW.

I don't really care for pineapple, but it works good with certain items. I don't eat it in sweets, like cake. Bluck. I have enjoyed a little with a bunch of rum tho.

Looks like a nice sirloin.

Only thing I've used A1 for in the last 20 years or so is a funky Bloody Mary mix.

If you were constructing the perfect 'cheeseburger in paradise' what would your ingredients/preparation be? This was probably covered in page 2 of this thread, but who has time to check through them all?

Me?

Fresh garlic mixed in the ground beef, Grilled MR.

On a buttered and grilled sesame seed bun.

Little mustard on the top bun with iceberg lettuce and tomato.

Melted smoked Gouda, red onion, bacon, BBQ sauce and jalapeño on top of the patty.

So many options. I also like a fried burger with melted smoked cheddar, over easy egg and bacon on grilled buttered bun, with sriracha and avacodo mayo and tomato.

Right now I could go for a 10 bagger of Krystal cheese. Mmmmmm.

Sounds terrific :good!: I was eyeing smoked gouda at the store yesterday.

My go-to burger, in any joint that allows you to BYO, is:
fresh chopped garlic, blue cheese crumbles, red onion, lettuce, fresh jalapenos and hot sauce/buffalo sauce. Lots of them don't have the chopped garlic though.

This is our favorite one in town. Menu

Sounds good to me. Blue cheese crumbles especially.

Cool burger joint. A few strange options, but can't criticize, Ive never tried peanut butter, jelly and shredded carrots with my hamburger on a glazed doughnut.

The Cherry and blue cheese salad sounds good.

Which fries do you like? The Brew #2 and the Parmesan would be my choices to try.

We usually go with the parmesan garlic fries. Haven't been in a while though.

They also have "grown-up" shakes, but not sure why they weren't listed on the menu.

Yea, those fries sound good. The Hair of the Dog sounded interesting too. If I still indulged, I'd try one of those!

In the grill thread in the pub, Calivol has entered a dish in a contest and several including me, has voted for him. That's what I meant if your wife's contest has that option, be sure to let me/us know.

I haven't had anything to drink since the middle of October when I started the chemo but I still have a half of a half gallon of Bacardi gold on my kitchen counter I intend on using as a remission celebration juice as soon as my stomach gets normal.

I hope you'll be celebrating it soon.

I used to cook with alcohol and even sometimes put it in the food, now I just put it in the food.
