Did you grind the mustard seed?

No ma'am. Cooking it breaks down the flavor and I just like the looks of them in there along with the garlic, pepper and rosemary.

I added the Rosemary after I cooked it, it was mainly for a garnish but you could detect a hint of it and it worked nicely.

I know I've discussed BBQ sauce before in here, but Im picky about it and I have only made it from scratch.....perfect, for me, a couple of times and I never wrote it down. So now, unless Im in the mood to deal with it, I just use a bottle of something as a base. And I don't like sweet ones, at all.

I know what you mean, but for me, as long as it's not sweet to the point of knowing the sugar is there, I don't care if it is. Even in a sauce I make from scratch, I add some brown sugar just to balance it.

And on the subject, homemade BBQ sauce is the first thing on my list to make with my stupid hot peppers. That is, if I ever freakin have any.

I use brown sugar sometimes (if it's for pork) but I'm more likely to use honey. If I'm using lots of garlic, I use agave.

Sounds like you have BBQ sauce down to perfection! It's a mental thing with me and using honey or molasses, it always seems too sweet no matter the amount I use, even though I know it's not. Haha, know what I mean?

Sinning? Close. :) I'd hate to use such nice ones for breading, but hey, they should be good. I'm sure you already know, but flouring them before the egg wash will make everything stick to the meat better. Nothing worse than a mess of clumped breading mixture everywhere but where its supposed to be.

Got me on the beans. Deer or rabbit sounds possible, I know it ain't gators. :eek:lol:

Fargin wind is my biggest pain in the ass right now. Drying everything out and knocking them over. I was pissed earlier.

Bummer on the winds, Behr.

The chops held together and finished beautifully. The missus was happy. My take from the experience is to use ~2/3 of the recommended seasonings. What the recipe called for was a bit overpowering. I want the taste of the meat up front.

Silver lining: Wifey says I can try a baked chop recipe that doesn't call for breading, next time. More big chops in my future. :)

For some reason I haven't been able to find Bullseye lately. Will be very disappointed if it has been discontinued.

Google lists it for sale at Target and WallyWorld. My missus favors Stubbs original. I'm OK with this (and, happily married).

I sense something... 'Zoners aren't being truthful about their ages...

As for my sprouting bean plants being stripped of their tender young leaves, leaving only an erect ~4" green shoot, there are new suspects - beetles (haven't seen any) or chipmunks (got plenty; never had a issue with them before).

Glad your pork chops were good. Does your wife only like them baked?

Should have been more clear. I can only find Bullseye Original, not the Hickory smoked or any other styles. Even the product tags for the other 5 or 6 styles are gone. This was at Target, Walmart and Publix.

@#$%^%$#@#$ local retailers... You buy something you like; you keep buying it time and again, then, boom! They've quit carrying it. Why?!?! Some other vendor has ponied up for the space, or some central buyer has made an arbitrary decision without considering local sales, or another inexcusable arbitrary decision! And you just want to :finger3:

Saw the hickory version listed online, so, I suspect it's still available.

The wife had requested baked chops. Why? You know better. No answer to that question. She has now informed me that I can try another baked chop recipe. What's with the desire for baked chops? It's grillin' season, right? Same answer as above...

An informative search

Yea, if my local grocer doesn't carry it I'll go a different route. Sucks, but oh well. Maybe it's time I revisit making my own.

Two items that come to mind is Mustard combos and Kiwi Sunny D. Loved both of those and you can't find either anymore.

Haha, understand.

Wtf? Where did that come from?

I mean the informative search thing. Where did that come from? It has "Behrvol1213@gmail".... I have no idea where that came from.

I do not know... Best deduction - It's a link to Google search. When you click on it, it runs the search anew on your 'puter. Are you logged into your Google account?

I've just entered the twilight zone. I don't ever remember using that for anything.

The innerwebz have won today.
