Sometimes, simple is best.

Again, I was impressed by your set-up and what you used it for.

fwiw

thank you sir. Since I have Crohns, 99 percent of everything we cook is on the grill. Thats why I decided to pull the trigger on the egg. You can do way more than grill on it. My next experiment is to do a pizza on it as soon as i can find a worthy stone.

I vaguely remember that conversation.

IMO? The pizza is difficult. Mine had too much "smoke" flavor. It can be done, and has...but I lost interest.

You cooked part of a Pig on it today. F a pizza.

Hell yea! By the time the food is ready, everybody will be shatfaced or passed out.

What you did there, I see it.

Seriously tho. That was back in the early to mid 70's. You think my mom, in a small town of about 900 in Middle TN, used Olive oil or grape seed oil? Or even heard of either.

Lard Baby!

Mom use to keep some kind of can on the stove for grease/lard. Fry stuff and pour the grease in the can to use over and over.

Mine used a Mason jar that had some sort of garden vegetable or jelly in at at some point.

No shat!!! That is one thing I can't get right 8 out of 10 times. Pisses me off, big time.
