And I respect your opinion. I think it could go either way. Hamilton is starting to feel the heat too if you ask me and I don't care how close Fulmer and Hamilton are, If Hamilton feels his job is in jeopardy if he doesn't fire Fulmer, then he will fire him.

I just think people (and when I say people, i mean those
who donate a lot of money and have a say in things) are finally fed up with the lackluster performance being put on the field year in and year out, and they are ready to do something about it if Hammy doesn't.

So I think something will happen at the end of this year, whether Fulmer steps down, Hamilton fires him, or Hamilton and Fulmer are let go. IMO I think Fulmer steps down after this year if things stay the way they are. He cares about the program and he is a good person and I think as much as he hates to admit it, he knows that things are not the same as they were. He will do what is good for the program and the respectable thing to do is to step down and cut at deal with the University.

i actually like fulmer as a person too. was holding out on jumping on the fire CPF bandwagon as long as i could because of that.

'Ol Phil is here for the long run. Let's face it. We can't afford to buy him out and offer a sweet deal to another coach.

If bama can pay mike shula 4 million to walk away. Then turn around and pay saban 4 million. I'd say we could swing it somehow. Just a hunch.

A lot depends on how the season plays out. If there are three more losses, he's got problems--but I do agree that Fulmer is not close to being sacked or asked to resign now. These coaches like the hand clapper, paterno and bowden have huge egos--and all have pretty much dragged down their programs trying to hang on. It's a scandal. It will have to get pretty bad for a few of the big boosters to show their cajones--figuratively, only--and show Fulmer the door. Look at Paterno: Pa. state has been pretty crappy for 15 years while he nears 100 years of age, and he's still coaching!! Pathetic. (He can still beat Foolmer, of course). Same with Bowden: most overrated coach in the history of the game, nearing 80--and still coaching. A joke. These guys are sad, really, hanging onto their pride and their big paychecks. And what's double pathetic is the way the universities let them. Programs are bigger than these idiots.

i think things will start to recover in the spring, which is when i am hoping to make my move back. the pound is tanking here and it expected to continue to decline, so there's going to be a point when it won't make financial sense for me to stay. hopefully at that point, things will be good enough for me to get a job in the states.

london is beautiful, but it's an adjustment. basically anywhere in europe you have to get used to things not being as easy as they are in the states. everything from grocery shopping to opening a bank account is frustrating here. it's well-worth visiting, i think, just don't expect it to be just like home.

took the words right out of my mouth. this is exactly the scenario i am terrified of. back in the better days, i used to joke that fulmer would never leave and that he'd die of a heart attack in neyland stadium while getting beat, yet again, by florida. now that the lines between joke and reality are becoming very blurred, it doesn't seem very funny at all.
