I believe this as well. This team is better than I though we would be coming into the season but about ten minutes into the Oklahoma game it was evident these weren't the same Volunteers.

If Kelly stays, they would be the only team along with Bama that I would put ahead of us.

Yeah, Charger, that question has been intriguing me all day. I think we'd have beaten Michigan, though it would've been a much closer game than we had with NU. The big question is, could Florida have beaten NU?

I keep wavering between 3rd best and 4th best. I'm pretty sure Ole Miss would beat us 3 times out of 4. If we had a more robust passing game, then we'd be their match...but we don't quite.

The one I have us more or less tied with is LSU. They're a hot/cold team (kind of like us), so it really comes down to whether they're hot, or we're hot, or both are hot, on who'd win between us.

I could only make the argument that Bama, Ole Miss, Arkansas and LSU are better than us. I'll say this is my ranking of SEC schools:

1. Roiders
2. Freezers
3. Pigs
4. Vols
5. Hatters
6. Cowbells
7. Dawgs
8. Barners
9. Gates
10. Aggies
11. Cocks
12. Protesters
13. Basketballers
14. Anchor down

Many might ask why Florida is so low but honestly I think they are a really bad team right now. When Grier was at QB and before anyone knew they couldn't make a field goal I would've had them 6th.

Agree on the Vols. But not Arky. Think ole Coach Bielema has peaked, or close to it. He'll never have the oompf to make it over Mount Bama, or the Ole Miss Massif.

UT and Bama had the best wins in the SEC, IMO. We beat a team ranked 10 spots higher by 39 points and set a new Outback Bowl record. Other SEC teams played teams closer to, or lower than, their ranking. And our backups scored twice and NU didn't score at all with our starters on the bench. Last year, our backups didn't score and Iowa scored twice after our starters were pulled. We're getting the quality depth we need to be taken seriously.
