uk basketball only because cal got 4.8 million and that money was spent to get wall and cousins to ky along with others you can buy titals in basketball but too many players in football

I was also in Nashville and it was sickening seeing KY take over. I was really surprised that they traveled that well. With that said, I can't stand either, especially Calipari. But Ashley Judd gets a pass as long as she doesn't wear blue.

I hear ya man. First there was their indecisiveness during the civil war, and now Calipari. If it werent for the derby, I would be willing to set loose on a torchin spree of the whole damn commonwealth. What kind of place calls themselves a commonwealth anyway?

They both equally suck, but I did get a kick out of watching Bama curb stomp Florida.

It's been a rough 5 years. There isn't a fan base in the country that has had to deal with their most hated rivals winning BCS titles 3 of the 4 last years, & being a laughing stock nationally, whether it's Fulmer's sideline grimmace or Kiffin's wrecked rental and all that surrounded that guy, it's been a depressing 5 years of UT football.

It seems like yesterday Tennessee had won the mythical national recruiting title in 2005, and after playing Auburn in Atlanta for the SEC title surely Tennessee would be even better the next few years.

2005- start the year off ranked #2 and end up in the crapper
2006- Florida wins BCS
2007- Pretty good year, should of won the SEC title though.
2008- Florida wins again, the Claw-fense
2009- Bammers win BCS, Hostess gate, armed robbery with a BB gun and unfounded accusations
2010- were on our way to being as nasty as the 90's Hurricanes, now we got to deal with all the uncertainty that surrounds some of those recruits

Tennessee football: not for anybody with a squeamish stomach

UK had about 95% of the fans in nashville --- they bought up all the good seats months ago. Plus, they were more obnoxious than ever! However, some of the UK women I met at the nashville clubs---ultra hot, particularly some high quality cougars and milfs.

I am not a fan of either program but I don't hate the coaches. Both are hired guns. Saban said himself he just signed with AL because it was the program offering him the most control and money at the time. I'm sure Calipari is the way. TN could have hired either coach if they had an AD that had the sense to hire a proven winner.

If it is between the Alabama football and Kentucky basketball programs it is Alabama all the way. However, there is only one thing I hate more than a Kentucky basketball fan, and that is a Florida fan (in any sport). The sense of entitlement of the average Kentucky basketball or Florida fan is sickening.

then I take it you guys will be pulling for us when we face the tide the second week of the season? Perhaps the most important game of the SEC west is played in regular season game 2.

i hate bama and kentucky but being as we are all 3 sec teams i have to give them props on the bcs title but kentucky i dont have to give them anything but another year on a winning steak hopefuly i was 6 months old last time uk beat tennessee in football and i dont look for it to end.also every vol fan for the last minute of the bama game saw or team come to life every bama fan held their breath we get you on rocky top this year and payback is a *****. GO VOLZ!!!!!!!ROCKY TOP YOU WILL ALWAYS BE HOME SWEET HOME TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!

So now you guys are in the same position in the west with Bama that we're in with Florida in the east - Beat them, and you're in good shape. Lose, and your season is screwed unless they lose a few games (which they probably won't). Good luck!

I'll go with Bama football because I'm a bigger football fan than I am a basketball fan HOWEVER Kentucky BB is a close 2nd since I like the Vols 1st and the UNC Tarheels 2nd. :rock:

but florida fans are pretty much the worst college fans of any sport. nothing compares to red sox fans though

no not at all we play LSU in Little Rock. Our toughest games will be UGA in Athens and Auburn both really winnable games. The Bama game is the ONE. If we can pull it out in Fayette ville then it will be game on.

Petrino stated the SECCG goes through Bama as they are the team to beat and if they are to lose it will be to us in Fayetteville if not then they repeat as conference champs and another BCS bowl. That are the expectations and OUR coach loves to live up to them not like the last guy who tried to figure out how to overachieve.
