How could anyone believe a word this con man says after everything Pilot has been accused of? The Haslams won't get another quarter of my money.

Lol did I say anything about anything I read? None of this has to do with articles haha. I can not and will not get into detail, but if you don't believe in Haslams influence up until a week or so ago, then idk what to tell you.

She personally saved us from another 5-7 years of mediocrity, another 5-7 years we may not have been able to recover from FB wise. That being said, she owes the fans, media and elected officials just as much, for standing up against the GS hire.

Trust me, she understands and appreciates the passion and respect people everywhere have and showed for the University Of Tennessee. She knew nothing about UT, especially FB (and it's enormous impact on local fans, the university as a whole, local businesses, the state as a whole and people's personal lives all around the world), when she first arrived here.

Why would she? She isn't from here. She didn't grow up with UT FB like we all did. She had no way to know or even understand how it impacts so many people's lives financially and personally. She understands now. Let me close with this. Anytime you stand up against power there is likely going to be fall out. I 100% believe at some point (hope i'm wrong), JH will try and oust Chancellor Davenport for the stand she took against him.

If / when this happens I ask all of you (Volnation) to unite, rise up, and do whatever it takes, to make sure this doesn't happen to a good woman. A woman who stood up, had our back, and did what was right, for all of us, at a critical and historical time in history at the University Of Tennessee.

The thing is ESPN and most of the media want to forgive and forget the Penn St debacle. Just the fact that they revived their program so fast is evidence of that. And quite honestly I don't think they care if Schiano saw anything or not...they think everyone has suffered enough.

I totally agree 100 percent with everything you said but she's the chancellor.Davenport though she's just trying to do her job has no clue about staffing a winning football program.I think she has the university's best interest at heart but at the end of the day she don't have a clue about what it takes to be competitive in the sec.I wish her the best but like butch she's in way over her head jmo

It isn’t her job to understand or run athletics and specifically football in a detailed fashion. It’s her AD’s job. She needs a basic understanding and BOY did she get that over the last couple of weeks. As long as she has a competant AD running athletics and answering to the university (not a single interest) then it should work out fine.

The chancellor is responsible for the university. So athletics are under her responsibility. But she has to rely on a competant AD.

I agree that she really didn’t get it when she was brought in. But I think she has gotten a serious dose of reality.

She should be given a mulligan and judged going forward I think. Just my opinion.

I've heard that some boosters came to Davenport and told her that if she didn't fire Currie and appoint Fulmer that they would pull their money. They also told her that they would make up the difference if Haslam pulled his money so don't give her all the credit.

I dont know if its true or not, but I honestly dont understand the strong anti-Haslam sentiment. He's apparently a big booster with an interest in football so I think his opinion should count. He shouldn't be the man behind the curtain controlling the AD but I never thought that he was. I'll never really know...
