thats an awkward situation. be careful of getting tied up with Brown, or Butler could get us NCAA Sanctioned. Thats scary You know Coach Urban "CRYER Meyer will push to have us turned in for something and obviously Mike Slive is going to back them.

Reminds me of that boxing promoter, with all the hair... Can't remember his name for some reason.

This topic has been thoroughly explored in the Recruiting Section and a Mod needs to merge it. The kid is legit and has interest in this program and staff. Heard it from his lips and seems sincere. Do not penalize him for Brian Bulter's greed.

I posted this over on the recruiting forum.

Does this kid look like a fit for Rocky Top? South Beach?

This kid is a stud, we will really want him when visiting Florida and Alabama next season, further, he would make our class a top class nation wide when you land the overall #1 prospect who plays at a position of need for our team.

Tennessee has had players whose fathers have been really involved before, and not in a good way. I'm thinking of that kid from Alabama who caused all the trouble. They had a wildcat formation quarterback package for him, and it was a bust. I can't remember his name, but he ended up causing much more trouble than he was worth. Much, much more. Regardless of NCAA sanctions and rules, I would prefer not to see these kinds of kids wearing the T. I want kids with passion for the game, their education, and Tennessee; not me-first kids who already have someone "managing" them with an eye toward striking it rich with a big NFL contract.

That would be the notorious Eric Locke. Watch Randy call a play... watch Randy call Locke up the middle for -2

I just read the article. CLK needs to just say "no."

Good job on believing everything you read.

Bryce Brown said that it was taken way out of context, and they never were considering the CFL.

Return2Power put it best in the recruiting forum.

Bryce Brown - #1 Overall Player in the Country

The team that you love wants him. Why hate on him?

You pay certain people at VQ to give you information on players. Those guys are pests. Brian Butler, the mentor, is like family to Bryce Brown. The people at rivals can charge a fee to get information on kids' interests but Brian Butler can't? There have been alot of negative posts about the mentor. People stereotype him when they read "ex-rapper" but have no idea that he is also a "preacher".

Put all the negativity about the number one player in the country and his mentor to rest. The guys at VQ can do it, but Butler can't? That's not realistic. Brown said, "I am fasting right now, waiting for god to put a school on my heart." How can you bash that?

It doesn't matter how good he is if he is already involved with a character like that guy mentioned. Also, his own coach indicated he shut it down and hurt the team. Bring on Oku.
