Clay Travis is a hypocrite.. Just a few months ago he writes a story on how these are just kids and we should take it easy on them..

Someone should forward this article to Griff. So much for passing (no pun intended) the blame around, eh?

Truth hurts

Yes it does. Clay is dead f'n on here.

He's talked about how hard it is for him to distinguish his passion and fire for UT football, and the fact that these are young kids, amateurs, if you will.

Point is, Clay has shown that it's hard to reserve judgment as a fan, even knowing that these are kids. Hell, his book is an evident affidavit to the fact that he continually has to question himself with regards to unabashed fan boy behavior, and reality.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did not Kiffin pound into our psyche, especially about playing freshmen, that he would play those players that give us the best chance at winning. Does Crompton at QB give us our best chance to win at FL?

I must admit, I'm still baffled by these folks who disagree with Travis's sentiment. The argument I keep hearing on the radio is that, "Stephens can't do no better." Double negatives aside, I'd like to ask them...HOW DO YOU KNOW?
Crompton has proven over and over again that he cannot win on Saturdays. There is zero hope in Jonathan Crompton's game. There is, however, a shred of hope that Stephens could pull it together and prove to be a better game manager. But nobody is willing to give that a shot. What is the worst case senario if you play Stephens...we STILL lose the games?

This article is perfectly on point with what we all already know and have known.........whether or not everyone wants to admit it is a different story.

Witness the first interception. Crompton had Gerald Jones as wide-open as a player can be in the center of the field. If Crompton hits Jones in stride, it's a touchdown. If he underthrows him by 10 yards, the play still gains at least 30 yards. If he overthrows him by five yards, Jones may still be able to get to the ball. My point, there is a massive window to land that pass inside. You or I could have thrown it. Instead Crompton overthrows Jones by about 15 yards. There wasn't even a point in Jones jumping as the pass sailed over his head. UCLA's safety, Rahim Moore snagged the gift interception.

This was the nail in the coffin for me, I then realized there was no hope for Crompton. I could not believe how bad that pass looked.

The ucla safety actually hurt UT, since UCLA got to punt from the 20 instead the endzone.
