Art Evans soft?

Art Evans had been playing soft most of the year. He did step it up in covering AJ Green, which gives me a little encouragement this week against J. Jones.

When was this quote given?

He played extremely soft, lost, and sloppy for the first 5 games of the season. He has had one strong game: Georgia.

He's been pretty good so far and Eric Berry says he has tremndus work ethic and is extremly fast, so? He seems to get better each week kinda like the whole team has in a whole new coaching situation there is an adjustment period!

I think Evan's has been without a doubt the weakest link on our defense. He missed several crucial third down tackles in the early games. He did have a good game against Georgia. Isn't he just a red-shirt freshman? Here's to hoping he develops.

the reason Troy Flemming thinks Art is soft..... is he was on his cell phone culdn't see him playing........GO VOLS

Wow, calling a first year starter out for no reason because he is still trying to get his head on straight out there. Not cool, IMO.

I have no respect for Troy Flemming's opinion or him for that matter after cellphone gate.

played rb/fb from 2000 - 2003 product of hillsboro led the nation in rushing in hs. prolly best known for being seen talking on his cellphone during the peach bowl

I doubt thats the Troy Fleming they are quoting! Troy is 2nd all time in HS rushing and played at BGA not Hillsboro!

So with this being said about him does he know that Art isn't gonna start today or something? Does anyone know todays starting line up or can they link it when it comes out today pls? The hit he put on GA's wide receiver was a hard hit but its force was mainly aimed at his arms to knock the ball out for E.B. to catch. That was the play he got injured on. All the replays i seen it appeared to be a clean hit that tbh shouldn't of hurt Arty too bad.....:eek:hmy: Maybe this is why he is getting that label.

no reason for a former Vol to be bagging on a current player... especially anybody involved in that peach bowl....

Screw Troy Fleming...he was all "status" and didn't play with heart!

GO ART, hope he makes a big play today and Troy can eat his words!

Ya, he went to BGA and was amazing in HS but never could seem to cut it at UT. Ended up playing on the Titans squad for a while solely because he was a local product, imo.

Don't really think anyone has ever earned an NFL contract based solely on the fact that they were from the state/area.
