Arrow

A great episode! So Laurel gets the crap beat out of her! Ollie refuses to train her, We get the introduction of (a too young IMO!) Ted Grant aka Wildcat and he begins her training!

Yeah, Laurel is kind of dumb for trying to attack that dude. Apparently a good beat down didn't curb her vigilante kick.

What was Brandon Routh pulling up on the computer? Was that what Felicity was looking at or what he pulled up himself?

That was some of the info Felicity recovered on that hard drive.

The casting of Wildcat is too young IMO. Should have gone with the older version of Ted Grant.

That's what I said. Ted Grant is a hero from a past generation.

The good thing is Nyssa's back, and she looks pissed. Maybe she'll help train Laurel too. One can only hope.

What's interesting about introducing Ray Palmer is they've already introduced Jean Loring. In the comics, she was his wife.

Ray told her it was from the Applied Sciences lab, if that's really where it came from.....

The one that Oliver, Diggle & Felicity blew up last season. I think it was the episode that first introduced the two STAR Lab techs that are now on the Flash.

Very good episode! Did not see the bf twist until the end. I thought it was the supposedly clueless mom at one point.

What I just saw at the end of the episode can't be real. Roy being Sara's killer, WHAAAT?!

I don't think so, but we'll see next week maybe. I think it was a dream.

The question is whether or not it was a dream or a repressed memory. If it's a repressed memory, the question is what caused Roy to kill her? Is the mirikuru still altering his mental state?

If it was Roy, he would have been using arrows from Ollie's own arsenal. I would think Ollie would have recognized this. Green Arrow has never been the detective Batman is, but he knows his arrows.

I don't think so either. At least I don't want it to be so. If it were a dream though how would he have known what she said to the person she saw on the roof?

The Mirikuru was supposed to be gone from his system with the cure that he was given. If the cure turns out to be flawed there could be worse things brewing in Starling City.

I agree with you about the arrows.

If I recall correctly though wasn't the Mirikuru a sort of moral battle for Roy? He did kill when he was under it's influence but were they not all crooks or villains? I don't recall him killing anyone "innocent". What would his motivation have been to kill Sara?

Anyway, I'll be pissed if the writers use Roy as Sara's killer.

Everyone needs to remember that Roy eventually becomes
Arsenal
and the writers etc.. has already said that is planned.

It's no secret that Roy becomes Arsenal, but I'm not sure what that has to do with Sara's death? First he was Speedy, then he was Arsenal, then he was Red Arrow. Roy has a long history in the DC universe. If you're referring to when he went over the edge, that was after the death of his daughter, wasn't it? And he wasn't the only one. Ollie went over the cliff as well.

So I'm not sure what your point is about him becoming Arsenal. He was still a hero as Arsenal. It was just DC's way of having him grow up and take on an identity of his own. Just as Dick Grayson became Nightwing, Roy outgrew being the sidekick and became Arsenal, which freed DC up to create a new Speedy.

Weird though that Ollie has taken to calling Thea by the nickname Speedy.

I think the whole Roy thing will turn out to be another red herring. I think they draw the mystery of Sara's death out all season long. jmo

Just released by the CW! Why they would spoil this I have no idea?
Katie Cassidy as Black Canary!

Not really a spoiler, imo, as the writing was clearly on the wall for what was coming.

Being honest, the reveal of Sara's killer was disappointing. I would have enjoyed it more if the person responsible had truly turned dark, rather than having their behavior explained the way it was.

Ollie vs. Ras. Went exactly how it should have given the history of Ra's al Ghul, but I'm not sure of the point or where it's headed. I'm not sure I like where it might be headed.

Overall, I love this show, but this episode left me extremely disappointed. Hopefully the second half of the season redeems it.

One interesting item. The OMAC/ATOM tie in. Interesting concept as I've never seen the two tied together before. That may have some potential. I'll wait and see.

Just watched... HOLY F()CK.

My dad watched this episode and he doesn't really watch the show and he's like, "was that the end of the show?" I was like, "well... umm... it supposedly comes back on in January but I think they're going to retitle it as "The Atom".
:)

So who do we think was the guy walking up on him laying there?

It appeared to be someone in a suit Diggle, Ray Palmer, Merlyn, Detective Lance or someone we haven't seen before?

I thought it was a long cape, not a suit. My initial thought was Merlyn. Lance has a heart condition, don't think he's climbing any mountains.
