Sources: Injured Texas A&M RB Owens out for year

Sources told ESPN on Sunday that Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens is expected to miss the season after suffering a significant lower body injury during a scrimmage on Saturday. The injury came a year after he produced 743 all-purpose yards.

Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens is expected to miss the season after suffering a significant lower body injury during a scrimmage Saturday, sources tell ESPN.

Owens produced 743 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns and earned SEC All-Freshman honors during his true freshman season in 2023.

Ole Miss DL arrested on domestic violence charge

Police arrested Ole Miss defensive lineman Zxavian Harris, Sunday, on domestic violence and obstructing arrest charges. Harris, 20, was projected to be in the line rotation this fall.

Ole Miss defensive lineman Zxavian Harris was arrested Sunday on domestic violence and obstructing arrest charges.

Harris, 20, also was arrested in July 2023 on driving under the influence charges, as well as felony fleeing and other charges. He faced internal discipline for the incident.

On Aug. 7, Athens-Clarke County solicitor general Will Fleenor dismissed charges against Georgia freshman receiver Sacovie White, who was accused of driving the wrong way on a downtown Athens street at a high rate of speed on May 18 with a passenger partially outside his 2021 Dodge Charger.

White, from Cartersville, Georgia, was charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

I can get speeding tickets being dismissed.

but driving on the wrong side of a road, in a crowded area? that is dangerous, and never should be dismissed if those are the actual facts.

"Wease was arrested Tuesday at 12:57 p.m. and released after paying a $10 bond. According to the Missouri Courts, Wease had a court date set for May 15, 2024 after he was issued a ticket on Feb. 9, 2024 at 11:01 a.m. in Lexington, Missouri, for failure to wear a selt belt."

Going to have to try harder if he wants to transfer to UGA

So failure to show up to court? Kind of serious, but I sympathize with a guy over a seatbelt citation. That is one of those government overreach laws.

The Southeastern Conference, along with the City of Hoover and the Public Park and Recreation Board of the City of Hoover, announced Thursday an agreement to hold the SEC Baseball Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium through at least 2028.

The agreement allows the SEC the option of exercising additional extensions to conduct the tournament at the Hoover Met in 2029 and 2030.

Any given Saturday………….but no.

UGA is going to be without Etienne and Kirby has stated that the team and staff is all on board with the Beck for Heisman campaign so I would think that UGA will be looking for the early knockout punch.

Clemson will put up a fight, but depth will wear down as UGA leans on the trench depth to salt the game away in the 2nd half.
