Heard a rumor Arnett's dad is sick, may be the cause of him leaving and many are saying he is pretty much for sure going. Anybody have any info on this outside of just rumors?

A guy on Volquest who lives in Michigan who usually knows his stuff on the players/recruits from Michigan said that Arnett's dad was sick, and that could eventually cause him to want to leave UT. However he said for now Arnett is going to stay at UT.

Regardless of his fathers health I saw hi leaving because of this staff. If I were him I'd be ticked about being benched while someone like Zach Rogers got to keep playing, even as he continued to drop critical, easy to catch pass after critical, easy to catch pass.
Dooley is gonna drive away all the actual talent, so they can keep playing their "high character" players.

He said he isn't going anywhere and he is sick of the rumors. It was posted a few days ago by someone who has classes with him.

Well my "source" is nothing reliable. A buddy in Ringgold, GA (just outside Chattanooga) said they were talking about it on the radio there. Didn't specify which station but he said they were saying Arnett is as good as gone because of it.

Btw I am a "Doolaid Drinker" but I can't disagree with the statement about not blaming him for wanting to leave after he lost that much playing time to Zach Rogers. Could not grasp that at all.

Arnett got some fairly quality pt this year for a frosh... but he should have been out there over Z Pack anyday

I'd be sick of the rumors as well. Some people get their rocks off making up stuff for some reason.

Regardless.... I hope he stays. If someone in his family(dad?) has health problems, I'd understand if he left. Hopefully his family is in good health. He's gotta do what he's gotta do though. Whether it be with his family or stick it out at UT and hope for the best. I think it's safe to say everyone here would prefer he stays at Tennessee but more importantly, his father gets better. -- Assuming the rumor about him leaving over his father's health is true. Hopefully the rumor is false. Would rather he leave based on his decision and not because something is wrong with his dad though. Hoping for the best in both cases

Slot receiver and WR are two different positions.

You can't compare the two positions; henceforth, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Not trying to be mean , but did you ever think to look around first? I'm sure your buddy from Ringgold means well , but there has been more than one thread on this. The reason people are lashing out is because the same rumor thread gets started over and over again on the same same subject.
