I can see both sides. If the reduction to a misdemeanor leads to more people being tested and treated and a long term reduction in the number of people with HIV, then it's great.

Fair enough. But that's a big If.

He's not too bright. He'd rather see pedophilia legal, than to have women pay for their own birth control.

Pedophilia will be legal in another 10 years. It will becone a states' right issue.

Oh the irony of you calling anyone not too bright.

Keep ringing that pedophilia bell without any evidence that any state is considering making it legal.

I don't find a conflict between "treating HIV as a public health issue, instead of treating people living with HIV as criminals...(and) like all other serious infectious diseases" and NOT knowingly screwing up others' lives.
I still don't get how people with HIV are treated like criminals. They are not treated as such until they actually become one under the current law amiright? Besides, how would they ever prove intent to cause harm anyway? Of course I don't know how you can shoot someone without intent to kill them either....

Liberals.

You socialists and liberals have been pros at that ever since the 2016 election.

California is a toilet.

I lived in California for a long time. Outside of the cost of living it is a pretty fabulous place to live. In the same weekend I could go to the desert and ride dirt bikes, to the mountains for skiing, to a lake for water skiing and then to the beach. Climate is perfection.

I agree it’s the people that screw it up.

You may be the biggest idiot I have ever encountered.

One of two things would have to be true:

1. You actually think I said what you are claiming I said. (Which makes you an idiot since I never said anything of the sort.)

2. You know I didn't say what you are claiming I said which makes you a liar. (which again is idiotic because the lie is so easily verified.)

You claim to have read the article and posted this. It sure seems you agree with it. So yes, it’s easy to see where you stand. Thank you for making this easy for everyone.

I read the article and it seemed very reasonable and based on the most current data and understanding. That is so California progressive.

That explains a lot...

The law this thread is about seems ill conceived, but as far as climate and stuff to do. California is number 1 and it ain't close. Big cities? check. Farms and small towns? Check. Beaches? check. mountains? check. Desert? check. Culture? check. What ever you want, you can find it in California.

I'm not a fan of southern CA but north of Bakersfield it is an awesome place that gets better the further north you go. If it wasn't for the CA government I could live in NCA.

I'm curious. Libs talk a lot about science. What does science say is the best way to handle delusional people? Should we just play a weird legally mandated game of pretend? Or seek help for them?

Not real science. Social Justice Science

And Californians had it handed to them. They didn't build that, it was luck of the geographic draw. They should pay 13% and more; double the inheritance tax for CA!
