Baseball forumNot trying to be ugly BUT Arkansas Hogs basketball is pretty much all they have to do in Arkansas (which is a gorgeous state btw). So, basketball tickets are at a premium there. I have a friend who played at Arkansas and started a final four game for them. He said it's hard sometimes to get tickets for he and his family.

Yes...my comment about Ark was a compliment. Tennessee has been experiencing the ticket superflation for many years now with no end in sight too. And now baseball is at least as hard if not harder to get a ticket. Basketball? A tough ticket (for a good seat) as well. It means our programs are experiencing mega-success. And there's several colleges and professional sports (not to mention entertainment abundance out the wazoo) in Tennessee that compete for those same dollars. I'd say we're more than holding our own. There's really not a whole lot to do in the Winter in most SEC states though lol.
They re-did the baseball seating and ticket system last season and really priced a lot of the common fans out. There are fans who had tickets behind home plate for 20+ years and they got moved because the Razorback Foundation required a $10,000 donation for those seats now so they essentially all went to corporations and businesses like Walmart suppliers who can afford them. It pissed a lot of people off but the demand is just so high right now that Van Horn wants to expand the stadium with more affordable seating options. I remember when you could get into the Hog Pen for $10 for Friday night SEC games but now those are all being bought up as quickly as possible and re-sold for ridiculous prices.
