With our defense, every team must be given the benefit of the doubt.

Man, what has happened those days when commentators would emphasize how dangerous it would be for teams to have to go play at Neyland at night. It was one of the toughest places ever to have deal with at night in that hostile atmosphere.

Now we talk about problems facing arkansas state university...is arkansas really a state?

Those stats have to be weighed with respect to the competition they were derivated against.

Texas isn't a top 10 team, moreover, they sleptwalked through that game. SMU stinks.

We played 2 top 10 teams.

That being said, no, I don't believe this is a cakewalk given the state of our program. However, I do believe we will win by 2 tds.

We have played two of the top 10 (top 5 ?) teams in the country thus far, out of 3 games. The stats are not generated in a vacuum. Sheesh.

Link?

I can't find any though where Texas players purportedly said they weren't going to try on a play.

And you played a CUSA team where you should have been able to exert statistical dominance.

Settle down sport, I'm not trying to knock your team. I live in Austin and hear more than I care to about the longhorns. In the Arky St game they jumped out to a lead and then put it on cruise control. That, combined with lackluster and uninspired play for the duration (sound familiar VOLS), lead to my comment of sleep walking.

I'm hardly trying to defend the VOLS performance to date, we've stunk it up. And I'm apathetic to any jabs about our guys not trying on a play. Bring it on, can't really get me any more down on our program than I already am.

But please don't tell me that you can't discern the impact on statistics of playing our schedule versus your schedule.
