Arkansas joins Tennessee under a sky that is falling!

Are you sure they were poached, or did they just get out while the getting still good... I personally think that they jumped ship... But that's my opinion... Hope dooley gets this ship corrected..

I have never stated DD will be here a long time, just like I have never claimed to be a supporter nor a basher. The 3 year contracts that Hart is giving out shows stability and a vote of confidence for recruits after all the negative internet posts from all websites. I hated Fulmer with a passion and still do but I supported the cause. You can either be a fan and show support and stop being a negative Nancy but either way the coaching will work its way out one way or another.

Agree with your post completely.

Arkansas has lost 4 coaches so far. Dooley has lost five (but has already hired one).

So both coaches are looking for 4 new assistants

I wonder if Arkie fans are posting about how no one wants to work for their coach, and how the sky is falling, the the negavols around here?

Woe is us!

We are living in the end times! Hart is a closet Alabama fan/anti-Christ, sent from Alabama to destroy our program from the inside! He was born in Alabama and sworn in on a picture book (I assume that's what they read in Alabama)! This is all true because I read it in a text message forward!

Its simple those fans arent complaining cause Carolina and Arkansas each had 11-2 seasons and won their bowl game, they are in much better shape overall than we are.

Coaching turnover can only be good when you've just went 5-7 .. We are upgrading... Lateral moves or not

I agree with that to a point. I think CJG was a big upgrade to CCB and really hit an area of need. I don't know if the DC will be an upgrade from an x's and o's standpoint, but landing someone with recruiting ties to Florida, Texas, or Georgia would be a big upgrade over ties to Oregon and Idaho.

I don't know if they are freaking out or not. I doubt they are, but there is a simple reason for it.

1. They are used to mediocrity.
2. They finished in the top 5.

How is that comparable to our situation? It's not.

11 win season and coaches leave? Expected.

5 win season and coaches leave? Not expected unless they're fired.

The Washington Huskies disagree. They seem pretty impressed with our "losing" coaches . . .

We are loosing good coaches because people who are hiring them understand football a lot better then negavols on these forums. It takes time to rebuild and it is clear to those who do understand that we have made great progress in many areas over the last 2 years. We are in a good position to have a great year next year (and it could have happened even last year if it was not for Hunter's and Bray's injuries). It is amazing how many people on these forums who supposedly have been watching football for a long time can not see and understand this.

Aside from the Wilcox and Sirmon departure of which is understandable, can anyone prove that the other 3 were not singled out by Hart and DD at the end of the season as areas that needed an upgrade?

CCB was fired. Everyone else left to join a school closer to their hometown. Half of the fans didn't want CHH back anyway, and replaced him with one of the best coaches and recruiters in the nation. All the west coast guys leaving is great! Now we can replace them with guys who have ties to GA, FL, and TX.

I don't know, didn't everyone lose their coaches to lateral moves? Turnover happens all the time with good teams and sinking teams. All the ones we lost were to lateral moves. That's a bad sign IMO. I don't think it's fair, but I believe Hart is passing a good opportunity to get rid of Dooley.

We all know what opinions are like...

This is a completely different situation. Petrino was stupid and brought his brother in to be the OC before he officially fired the acting OC. Petrino has always been disloyal, just look at his track record.

While I understand your logic, graham got a 3 deal because he will be here no matter what happens to dooley. And these contracts hart is cutting don't have epic buyouts so it wont be hard for the next coach to clean house. And where do some of you get that dooley will be here for a long long time? He is on the hottest seat in the country next year, we start out bad in our first 6 games there will be hardly anyone in neyland ticket sales will be down. No ticket sales= no support, no support= no profit for the university, no profit= dooley canned

I hate to pop your bubble, but Graham's deal is 2 years. This has been widely reported the last couple of days.

What a boring thread! The Negavols arguing with the folks who think Dooley deserves a decent chance. What a waste of time.

What about this?

Wilcox had no loyalty to Tennessee! He was using this job to get a head coaching job. Remember he tried to get the DC job at Texas after one season with UT. No loyalty to Tennessee or Dooley. So Good Riddance!!! Sirmon who knows he and Wilcox are blood brothers.

Baggett I have no idea on him. Maybe he wanted to retire or maybe Dooley was not satisfied with him.

Heistand well face it maybe he doesn't coach as well as advertised. The Oline never did run block well and by the end of the year they had experience.

I'm glad these coaches are gone. The replacements will be better!

I want to add one thing. I'm really glad Wilcox is gone. The more I think about his attempt to get the DC job at Texas last year the madder I get about it. It just shows you his heart was never at Tennessee. I believe Dooley wanted him gone and that is why he took a lateral move before he got fired!!
