Exactly who would he be playing ahead of at UT?

i never said he would be starting. i was just pointing out that some people were completely against recruiting stewart, and he just had a monster game against us.

and others are trying to point out that he wouldn't have those games at UT because he would be number 7 on our bench.

You're right, we should have recruited another guy to sit on the bench rather than waste a scholarship on a starting PG. I see the logic now

i doubt that. he was 2nd place as sec freshman oty last year for a reason. i know that doesnt mean a lot to you, but i believe he would definately be getting p/t with pearl's style of play.

never once did i say barry was better than ramar. read the thread hotshot. all i was saying is if we couldnt get ramar, then we should try to recruit barry. i wish you people would stop being so stubborn and admit the kid is a good player who any coach would love to have on his team.

this led me to believe you would prefer him over Ramar

good! now pearl should go for barry stewart!

im from barry's hometown and i'd love to see him in orange. if ramar didn't come, then that left a chance for barry to come to utk. i never once said he was better. you people are quite condescending.

what did you expect? It's not condescending to say that he might be lower on the bench than you think that he would be or that we think that we got the better player. I believe that you are a bit biased as your above post portrays. No hate here, just giving our opinions.

Im a big fan of stewart. I think it was him him in the state tourney game knock down the 3 free throws to send it into double ot. I like to watch the kid shoot and play, and I wish he was wearing orange as well, but ramar>stewart. As for where he would be on our bench, I looking at number 8 if we got him instead of ramar.

Dang, allvol! You must be awful about holding grudges! Not having a dog in this fight, I have to say that it sounds like everyone is right to some degree... glad we have Ramar, but Stewart shot the ball well Sat. night.

yes save yourself the humiliation

Get a clue man.

The guy got hot and will never shoot like that again. His 12-14ppg would equal about 5ppg if he played for Tennessee. He'd be battling to get minutes over Josh Tabb.

Edit: And no.. I think Stewart is a decent player.. but you need to seperate your personal involvement from reality.

The part in bold makes it impossible for anyone on this board to actually take anything you say about Barry seriously.

I wouldn't switch players for anything. R. Smith means more to this team each game. Let's see how their college careers finish, before second guessing.

once again my fellow vol fans, not once did i compare barry and ramar. please take the time to read the thread before you try to put me down. i was simply making a funny about how the player nobody wanted recently scored 21 against our top ten basketball team. chillax.

oh you are so right. since i have seen him play more and know more about his skills than anybody else, i don't have a clue what i'm talking about. what would the world be like without men of superior intelligence like yourself?

You're a fool. My point was you're biased and of course you're going to say good things about the "hometown" boy. Get over your ego.

And to add to that... Mississippi State has 1 real scorer in Gordon. Someone has to score for that team..

you need to listen better. barry only had 9 because he was on the bench w/ foul trouble. i have no bias, barry is a great player no matter if he's from shelbyville or timbuktu. you are uneducated in your "points" and obviously don't watch msu games. gordon is a spasctic ball hog with little intelligence of fundamental basketball. please stop your incoherent oral diarrhea and save yourself from further embarrassment.

You really don't have a clue about basketball do you. You also have serious issues with flaming.

He averages around 13ppg anyway. Fouls are a part of the game.

You're the only one that has those views, funny huh? Sounds like your the one who needs to stop posting.

No one here needs a 17-year-old who went to high school with this kid telling me how awesome he is.
