Mullen strikes again. He lands 5 star transfers about every year. Huge position of need with the departure of Kyle Pitts.

This is the second 5-star transfer for Mullen this cycle joining Clemson transfer Demarckus Bowman. Of course, last year he reeled-in Brenton Cox, Justin Shorter and Lorenzo Lingard. He also has hit home runs with other transfers not considered consensus 5-stars; Van Jefferson, Jon Greenard and Tre Grimes to name a few.

While many Gator fans wish Mullen would secure more 5-stars in the signing periods out of HS, nobody questions he’s a killer when it comes to bettering the team via the portal.

Seriously? 5 stars are just 4 star HS recruits that gain an extra star after showing out their freshman season in CFB. That’s when we really get after the whole recruiting thing. They don’t give 5 stars to HS recruits so we let them go wherever to gain that extra star before we really start pursing. - Dan Mullen, probably.
