Colts defense is going to give up a lot of yardage on the ground this year. Foster looked good.

Gold will shine no matter what it has been through. That's exactly what happened to Arian. He gave everything he had to the Volunteer football, but was unfortunately overlooked by the NFL and entered the big league as a "lowly" undrafted free agent. Guess what, it doesn't matter anymore. Arian will carry the Tennessee RB tradition just like the way he would had he gone to the NFL after his junior year as a 2nd round draft choice. I am so happy for him!

Many criticize the colts D, but a big year of the criticism was when they won the super bowl. They may let a man run or pass but most of time they switch up on diferent opponents and beat them according to their custom gameplan.

But hey, they have some beasts on D, some of the best DEs, LBs and CB/S in the league. What I am saying, Foster earned it more than the Colts gave it to him. The Texans did run a totally diferent scheme than they traditionally have, so that may have messed up the Colt's gameplan.

Uh. Some of the best DEs, some of the worst DTs, some decent DBs and average LBs.

One of my most disliked players at UT. I couldn't wait for him to leave.

He is doing a good job in the NFL though.

Two things about Foster:

Arian has shaped up since going to the Texans
He won't top 150 yds again this season

WAIT!! They do play the Colts again!!! So Maybe,

Watching Arian Foster yesterday I couldn't help but notice that he not only appears to be running harder than I've ever seen him but he also seems just all around faster...

I think it's been well documented how there was a serious lack of motivation and accountability present with the coaching staff that Foster played for while here...

I could see how that mentality would translate into a player such as Foster not reaching his full physical (speed) or mental (hard running) capabilities....

Is this change in Foster a glaring example of that or is it just a player maturing and coming into his own?

It's called run blocking.
Like in first quarter of our game against Ducks.

Why does things like this happen? It seems we produce players who don't really standout at UT but get to the pro's and have a nice career. Mostly its been DB's who were a little above average in college and then becams starters in the pro's. I know we have Peyton, some RB's, etc etc that have been great but from a DB standpoint (excluding Berry) its been awful.

Awesome photo, PJ. They were Vols!

Considering Arian's performance yesterday and some of the grief (and support) she has received here, it seems FosterMom deserves the chance to do a VolNation TD dance of some sort. :hi:
