I know earlier in the year there was quite a bit of downplaying of foster's ability. I will take a bashing I'm sure, but I'm going to man up and say that he has been a beast as of late. Watching the last few games and rewatching the UK game, he has been a MAN out there: hitting the holes hard, running over people, making something out of nothing. Thank you Arian, keep it up! I am feeling better and better about our running game next year.

I've been saying it since pre-season: Foster is the MAN this year.

I was never big on Foster because he doesn't have game breaking speed, but he sure proved me wrong. He runs hard, has great vision and plays with a lot of heart. UT is loaded at RB if they stay healthy.

He is turning into an awesome back. You can see him getting better week to week. Gearld Riggs kind of did the same thing. I think Foster can be a better back than Riggs though.

I also think it helps him when he gets more carries and even catching passes. The more involved he is the better he plays. He is going to be a great back. Almost there.

He's a good back. He's not great along the lines of Jamal Lewis, Reggie Cobb, Travis Stephens, but he's done everything asked of him. He's more than likely going to be the leading rusher at UT when he leaves here because of the amount of time he's been the featured back.

I was one of the biggest Arian supporters this off-season and will continue to be, but I'll never mistake him for some of the great ones here at UT.

Maybe we have been spoiled to a degree by having some really amazing RB's on the Hill. I agree that AF has done everything asked of him by our coaching staff. He looks different than last year and seemed to make the decision to get bigger and better. He put a couple hits on some UK players Sat night that made me smile. Hats off the him and can't wait to see him finish this season and have a great Sr year.

He reminds me a lot of James Stewart. Not a superstar . . . just a guy who runs hard and gets the job done.

I like Foster's style, but like Ainge, he'll need to go to the right team to find success in the NFL. A lot of people aren't going to like his lack of burst.

The O-Line has helped him tremendously.

I am 100% confident in a very untimely fumble from Foster in the SECCG. He IS due, after all. haha He was bailed out the last time he coughed it up, thank God.

Hopefully he gets brash and goes pro, that way we can hand the reigns to Hardesty and Creer next year.

Hardesty has yet to impress me. Creer needs to mature a bit more.

Foster is a Senior, isn't he??

Hardesty would probably be starting if he wasn't constantly injured. He runs harder and faster than Foster, which is probably how he ends up constantly injured. In the streaks I've seen Hardesty, he has impressed me.

Creer? I haven't seen enough of him to really get anything of an opinion.

Foster is what you want in a feature back and at the beginning of the year when everyone was calling for Coker, I said that Foster would be the feature back and would be the better back of the three we had at the time. He's big, physical, can pass protect, can catch, and while he doesn't look super fast it is because of his stride. He reminds me of Preist Holmes

I'll be the first to admit...I thought Foster should have been replaced by Coker...

I think I even started a thread about it after the UF game...

Well here I am...EATING CROW!!!

Great job Arian...you truly are a top caliber SEC back :salute:

Great job, Arian. You made me look smarter for being a homer and putting you on my college fantasy team.

That would be our loss, we need his heart and senior leadership next year. You run the ball as much as he does against SEC defenses, you are going get the ball knocked out sometimes. I agree he has more than he should, but not enough to want him gone!

Yes we have all been spoiled by great TBs. Arian is a good one.

Exactly what I think.

Yes, handing the reigns over to a tailback that stays hurt and another one that has fumbled as much as Foster. That's smart.
