Arian Foster To Kneel When Anthem Played

But Nobody gives a crap about this for some reason.. They are a bunch of attention seeking sissies imo. They don't care about what they say they care about, they want attention.. If u cared about senseless black killings, then Go and protest something in Detroit or Chicago. Its just a stupid trend/fad right now for them.

Anybody killing anybody is an issue. The problem here is that some people are being killed for absolutely no reason, and the law enforcement are getting off with no penalty. Outside of a few cases, they usually walk. Now, anybody with a brain can see that this is an issue that should be corrected.. no why on God's green earth is your response to say that doesn't matter because blacks kill blacks? Deflecting the issue to point the finger back at blacks is wrong. Whites kill whites, but if a cop kills an unarmed white man.. he should face the consequences. The problem is we keep bringing up race.. and it has nothing to do with the problem.

Anybody killing anybody for no reason needs to be punished..

Pretty much crushes it. As another VN member serving the Constitution, I have no qualms about this peaceful protest and I'm baffled that so many others do. I'm honestly slightly disrespected by those that try to claim we as military members are being shamed and disrespected by people using their 1st Amendment rights.

Generally, from what I've seen, most of my co-workers in my unit and past units don't give a rat's ass.

There are def bad apples in the police force. But there are a lot more good than bad out there.

There's a lot more good apples in the BLM movement than bad. The bad ones don't mean the cause isn't justified.

Really? Have you ever noticed how law abiding citizens are never in these predicaments?

This is always a surefire sign of a closet racist!

Yes dude, they are. It happens everyday.. I've personally been with black friends and seen them harassed by police. If you don't think this happens, you've just never experienced it, or think millions of minorities are liars.

It is laughable to think you would have ANY INSIGHT into what MLK would advocate, given out current sociopolitical climate.

Arian Foster stands (or kneels, in this case) for what he believes. It is a peaceful protest, and powerful. Good for him.

Why is it laughable? I've read his writings and thoughts. He would protest injustice, but not this way.

I have one that is no longer serving that is against it, although his stance is softening. Other than that, most support the right to protest this way.

IMO, the soccer club that altered their pregame arrangements in order to prevent Megan Rapinoe from protesting is the scumbag of this whole issue.

I carry vets to the VA hospitals nearly every day. I have not heard one of them support this bs. I've talked to dozens of them. Every one of them I've talked too, feel disrespected and angry over this nonsense. They do all say they fought to preserve our rights to peaceful protest. This is just the wrong way to do it.

Bear with me for a second.. there is no right or wrong way to protest as long as laws aren't being broken.. just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean it's wrong.

African Americans need to start by fixing their communities and stop blaming everyone else.

It's really simple. We live in a country where an African American holds the highest office in power, their are plenty of African American lawyers, doctors, professors, actors, etc etc etc.

The point is they are awarded the same opportunities as everyone else, whether or not they choose to pursue those opportunities is a personal decision.

I understand their are problems but it starts with the family. Most African American families are broken with no father figure, that is HUGE.

Look at the communities they grow up in, and the stuff they grow up idolizing such as Hip Hop, which preaches everything you should not be if you want to become a productive member of society.

It just seems easier to blame and point the finger at everyone else instead of taking accountability and making changes.

These stances by athletes are weak and do nothing to help anyone.

Also, why do African Americans keep voting Democrat?! but that's a whole other issue.

To be clear, I'm not ignoring that their are issues, I'm just saying that if you really want to make changes it starts at home with you and your family, and your community.

Oh my. I fear how many people like you exist

As a fellow African American I have to say I'm disgusted that most of you don't get it. You don't live in my shoes and would never want to. This is a serious issue but obviously not to you guys. Every time I get in my car I wonder if I'll get pulled and/or harassed by the police for no reason. Imagine that on a daily basis. I'm also a military veteran and although I don't agree with kneeling on this day of remembrance, I definitely understand the purpose. Maybe they're millionaires but they're speaking for people like me when I have no voice.

Your believing in a false narrative. Cops pull every race over and arrest whites everyday. More whites have been killed at the hands of police than any other race in this generation. But the lying media will.not report that. The media wants to create drama and bank on "suckers" to fall for their crap and it has worked.

Election time is near and it all ties into it. False narratives and false promises to the suckers in this country for votes!

Want to be unafraid of law enforcement? Always do what's right in every situation.
