Bottom line is that there are guys who find calm in the moment and others that let the nerves and dry mouth overwhelm them. Some people make the FT and others short arm it. It happens and is absolute fact in sport. Research it all you want, but folks telling the truth will admit to spitting the bit on several occasions due to nerves.
If you were to actually take a look at the subject and carefully scrutinize it (as I have), you'll find that the number of "clutch players" wouldn't exceed 5% no matter which way you slice it, and most of them would fall into the realm of having either a small sample size or some other factor that benefits them greatly.
