I don't think I said anything about Christianity did I? No doubt the last part of your name is correct.
I get sick and tired of seeing/hearing the same old **** about how he or any other player 'sacrificed' their body for the good of the program. Everybody knows the risks of sports and I think his so-called sacrifice paid off pretty well for him. Nobody forces football or any other sport on you so stop with the sacrifice b.s. Everybody knows fans boo when things happen, it's just part of it. Maybe some thicker skin or bigger balls would help some people out. If some of you want to hero worship Foster or anybody else like him that's fine but some of us refuse to acknowledge that a kneeling, America disrespecting atheist is anything other than trash. You can toss up all the little stats you want and call him VFL and all that but the guy doesn't care about UT, the fans or anything else so why should he get anything more than that in return? I'm glad he's retired and hopefully this will be the last anybody ever has to hear anything from or about him again.
Because among other things just another reason that I have no use for him.
Peyton's actions provided a lot of fuel for the Title IX fire.
Complete witch hunt dude. You've gotta be kidding here. The wacko leveling the accusation (Naughright) and the hack trying to make a name by promoting an illegitimate story (Shaun King) have been thoroughly discredited as a lawsuit happy nutjob and a racebaiting activist respectively.
And as Butchna has pointed out, the "good" that Manning has done and continues to do for the program and University far exceeds any temporary, short-lived "damage" that that bs story ever did.
Short lived damage... that can be said about Foster's comments to SI in 2013 about the hypocrisy of the NCAA. Actually Peyton's actions from 2 decades ago are getting a lot more attention from the national media than Foster's comments from 3 years ago are getting.
The contrived issue is Foster's comments. They did less damage to UT than Peyton's mooning/tea bagging incident.

Neither did any damage to the program. You've failed to change anyone's opinion on Foster's VFL status...yay or nay. And of the two, Peyton's was an allegation brought into a moneygrab along with a hip hop song. Foster's was diarrhea coming out of his mouth...not alleged diarrhea...the really runny watery stuff only a vegan could manufacture.![]()
Big checks were written to make Peyton's stupid **** go away. And then it came back. No payments were made after the **** Foster said over 3 years ago. There wasn't an investigation. There wasn't litigation. I'm not seeing anything coming from the Foster interview other than butt hurt posters and evidence that he's a nut.
The media is what they are, and they do what they do.
So what actually was the more egregious action/behavior by our two former Vols in your opinion? Which purposeful action had greater potential to hurt the program and university? A 19 year old engaging in horseplay in a training room where, gasp!, a female trainer saw his white ass for 2 seconds.......or, a 27 year old NFL all-pro running back doing a sitdown interview and saying that he was given improper benefits...a lot of improper benefits which he admits could've caused an NCAA investigation?
Title IX settlement wasn't based on Peyton's allegation. It was a throw in along with a hip hop song. And he's already donated in excess of 2 million before that. The university has benefitted from it's association with him and he'll always be beloved in Knoxville. Foster DJ'd an O&W game.![]()
The trainer didn't win a large settlement for seeing a white ass for two seconds. The horseplay could've caused sexual assault charges to be filed. I'd say the sex thing is more egregious than comments made about the NCAA.
Foster: hated vegan atheist that said something.
Peyton: beloved flasher of his white ass that allegedly put his man parts on a female trainer'a head... denies it and a large settlement was paid.
We'll barely remember him...Peyton will always be loved.![]()
Which one is more popular isn't the point. A poster brought up Peyton, Witten, Berry, and the Colquitt's as VFLs that would never put UT in a bad light. I've shown that some of those actually have done just that. Should we now turn over the rocks on the incidents involving alcohol and the beloved VFLs? Foster said mean things about the NCAA in 2013.
Drop in the bucket. Peyton has donated more money to his alma mater than has ever been spent. He champions the Tennessee brand. Positive association that continues to benefit the University of Tennessee. Every third kid is named Peyton. Don't see many Arian's around.![]()
I bring up the settlement not because of the magnitude of the direct financial damage, but because it is an indication that Peyton's incident was more significant than showing his white ass for 2 seconds.
