Arian Foster gets cut but...

In case you forgot, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. There was no need to pick an argument with me over an opinion.

I will say all of you other posters are correct. It isn't Foster's fault the prior coaching staff let him run east and west all the time to avoid hits. I don't care for him. Because, Hardesty was the better back and sit the bench. Because, Foster was Fulmer's favorite! I don't wish the kid a bad future. I do hope he does well. I just don't see him doing anything unless he makes up a lot of lost ground due to the prior coaching staffs' inability to coach him up and make him run over people. He definitely had the bulk to run over some secondary guys. Yet, he very rarely ever tried. That is what you call a pansy back!!!

True, except for the first hand knowledge of how hard it is to run though a pack of men weighing 290 and having a 5 second 40. Especially when those men don't want you to gain yardage.

I never questioned Arian's manhood. I agree with you on running away from 290lb men running a 5 sec forty. But, how can all of you guys defend someone who repeatedly ran out of bounds? He frequently ran out of bounds when being approached by 190lb DBs!!!

Hard to use that argument about Fulmer favoritism after how little Arian played last year.

So did Franco Harris, and he's in the HOF.

Dude, seriously, I would expect more knowledge from a 18,000 poster! Foster had almost as many carries as Creer and Hardesty combined. Please state facts when you call someone out.

He had 3 carries against UGA. 6 against Bama. None against Wyoming. The other guys got plenty of PT.

You don't judge a season on 3 games. He also had some health problems during that span. He got way too many carries to continuosly run out of bounds!

It really takes a big man to sit there at a keyboard in your underwear and take personal shots at a college kid who played football. At least he went to college, unlike most of the losers who complain about him.

The kid chose Tennesee, moved across the country to play for us, and had the misfortune to pick the worst period in modern Tennessee football to play for us. He had horrible coaching. He's gone now, so give him a freaking break and shut up.

Arian is being given a five-week head start on the practice squad to see if he can get through an open hole in Week 6.

There is a big difference between running out of bounds vs NFL teams and running out of bounds vs UAB.

You have to be kidding me... Arian Foster played every single season except his freshman year banged up.

He was the only reason we won several games in 2005... while setting a Tennessee record for consecutive 100 yard games... in his first 5 starts.

You remind me of the douchebags who said Jamal Lewis(post injury) was never that good that I had to listen to in 1999.
(Note: I am in no way comparing AF to Jamal Lewis)

The guy had a few fumbles, it may have cost us a few games... get over it.
He helped us win a lot more than he cost us anything... and as far as Montario Hardesty playing ahead of Arian, that guy has been even less healthy.

I'm wondering how many players who start out on the practice squad, ever end up on a game day roster and playing significantly.

Seems like for most its 3-4 years on the practice squad then they are done.
