Foster has 99 carries and 1 touchdown. What results are you talking about?

Look at the games in which our offense has performed the worst. In all of them, Foster wasn't relied upon. Foster's lack of TD's has a lot to do with the tactic of using Hardesty as the goal line back.

maybe the fact that he and creer are leading the team in ypc? That Hardesty and Poole are both only averaging in the mid 3's in ypc?

There are only 3 games where he had a low number of carries. The rest are about the same.

Does the team realize all they did today was justify Fulmer's situation???? They may think they were showing support for Fulmer but all they did was make more people want him out of there quicker. I really thought they were going to step up and demolish Wy today.

Boycott Fulmer's termination by helping him secure the worst season, and one of the most embarrassing losses, of his career.

Brilliant.

Foster has been rilled up ever since Monday after the press conference. If you watch closely Fulmer had to tell Foster to sit down from his standing ovation. It wouldnt suprise me if he would do something stupid like this. Fulmer said after the game that Arian practiced all week and seemed fine so take that for whats it worth

Who cares about Foster, Im just glad he wont get the rushing record. He is not a true great UT runningback. I hope he stays at 3rd. Not starting today broke a string of 21 straight starts I think. He was 2 away from the record there for a RB I think. Any record that we can keep his name off is fine with me.

Jimmy Hyams discussed the thigh bruise on the post game show. He said Foster had mentioned the bruise to Fulmer earlier in the week but had practiced all week. Jimmy said Foster told Fumer each day throughout the week that it felt better and it was only before today's game that Foster told Fulmer he couldn't go.

No, he isn't. He is exhibit #1 of the talent drain in Knoxville. He would have been the 5th best tailback on the '98 team.

that '98 team was loaded, as this team should be, but he is capable of carrying the ball 20 times per game.

all this argument is moot though, because the '98 stable wouldn't even look incredibly impressive with this O-line blocking for them.

I buy all that. I don't buy that benching Foster makes this team any better. I think a better exhibit would be to add up all the offensive players that are better than Arian. It's a low number.

I'd say putting Jamal Lewis and Shaun Bryson at LT and LG with Travis Henry and Travis Stephens running the ball left every time would do better than this.

i know he's smaller, but I'd put Bryson at left guard and let henry take the snaps.
