'21 Are you happy?

Given the context of last 6 months, on a scale of 1 - 10. How happy are you with a #18 recruiting class? Personally, I’m an 8.
18 may not be the final number. We still have two players asking out of their NLIs, and there are still some really good players yet to sign. So your question is premature. <---obligatory TWSS

Honestly with the crap show we have had on the hill lately coupled with impending NCAA charges and the fact we have no idea who all our coaches are about to be......not to mention a 3 win season and we havent been relavent in 12 years........anything in the top25 and I'll be happy to be honest. But, this should show that the UT brand can recruit itself and I'm hoping if Heupel can produce the same offenses he did at Mizzou, Oklahoma, and UCF and give free reign to a top notch DC we might actually come out of this pretty good in the next 3-4 years.

Overall, I'm happy. The recruiting class is what it is. Also I think it will be reinforced by more transfers. I'm expecting the players in this class and the others already on the team to play at a higher level with better coaching. The coaching staff should be completed and announced very soon. Then it's looking forward to spring practice and the O&W game. I expect we will see the beginnings of next year's offense.

I know a lot of VN are not happy. But there are more reasons to be excited that to be down. I'm personally looking forward to the future.

Heupel has never had a bad QB in his career. I’m at about a 7 right now, but think TN has some real talent on Offense that could move the program forward more quickly than some expect.

I agree but am a little bit worried that after hiring a new AD (highly regarded) and such offensive minded HC that we have not seen at least a few exciting recruiting updates (or even rumours) by now. It seems like Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt all generated some type of excitement as soon as they were hired and were able to translate that to closing their first recruiting cycle higher than expected - not sure if we will see that with Heupel (also surprised not more assistants have been announced - that seems to be moving very slowly - almost like he does not have many people in his rolodex and/or had not given this much thought before he accepted the job).

And most of that was fake (salesman) hype, plus they were hired earlier, and NSD actually meant something.

This recruiting class means nothing honestly, just need to fill holes with transfers and roll on. I think everyone is overreacting wayyyyy too much today.

Dooley and Butch were used car salesman and wanted everyone looking at them. Pruitt is not head coach material and probably learned his recruiting technique from Saban and Jimbo, without the winning and the NCAA up our butt.

This guy isn't doing anything that says "look at me", and we know he's been a head coach and has had really good offenses with much worse recruiting classes.

I'm going to wait and see.

Am I happy?...no, but do I understand that it is the best we could realistically hope for under the circumstances?..yes.

It is what it is...there is no cheat code..no short cut..no easy way. I hope Josh Heupel does a good job. I will be happy with good at this point.

Don't care - no one is responsible for it - especially the current staff - so who is there to be upset at?

Just develop and scheme. Recruit for 22.
22 class is going to be another in a looong line of frustration imo. The only thing that will help with it is if JH and staff have a miraculously good year..which I don't think is fair to expect.

I hope we have good coaching, which will help us get a good class...and go from there.
