Yes of course we are for Tennessee. But more so than that, I think the Vol Nations is for winning than anything else. All of the mean-spirited back lash is simply a result of two 5-7 seasons in the last 3 years and no SEC and/or national championship in 10 years. It's just frustration that has come to a boil.
This!!
Sidenote: I really hate it for JC and love him for choosing to wear orange, but I think that we've known what this "staying the course" was going to mean and when it did.....heck, he is what we knew he was, and THAT'S frustrating.

This!!
I think that is what has slayed me from the point of hire(and esp since the Sing in the swamp thing). WHO KNOWS??? Hell, who predicted the Vol Ga game the year we hung 30 something to nothing on them? It's fun, it's a game, EVERY game scares me, Kiff did the right thing by saying what he did and when he did it, anything can happen on a given Sat in the SEC, if you guess the score it's pure luck, CUM is an Fing cry baby whiner, his team is starting to mirror that, he will get his and because of the hate, when he does it may very well snowball, WHEN that happens he's gunna look even more like the rotten, smarmy little no-chin prick that he is, and the sun will rise Sunday morning no matter what, and I will feel really good about our chance in every game for the rest of the season..NO MATTER WHAT. So, gators suk me, Vols lighten up, and Go Vols....we'll just see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem with a lot of folks on this board seems to be that they are more concerned with being right than simply pulling for their team...

Last season it was about not supporting the program as long as Fulmer was there to screw stuff up, but now there isn't really an excuse unless you already want Lane Kiffin to hit the road.

These freaking rah rah threads are getting tiresome. This is a Tennesse sports message board. The only reason anybody would be here is if they love Tennessee sports or are fans of other schools trolling for a response to their drivel. Just to let you know, all of the Vols fans love Tennessee football as much as all of you whining about the way others express their thoughts do. If you wish to profess your undying loyalty to the Big Orange that's great, just give up the unending threads that some aren't as vocal as you are in said endeavors. OK?

I am Tennessee through and through. However, I am also a realist. When I evaluate the Vols, I see a good team (with an exceptional defense) with a starkly inept QB. Then I look at Florida and see the closest thing to an NFL team in college football. Thus, I feel less than confident about the results of this weekend's game.

I love my kids. But they don't always act perfect, and I don't pretend they do. They do things that make me mad, they do things that embarrass me, and they also do things that make me soooo proud!! I love 'em to death.

I love my Vols also. But they aren't perfect either, and I don't pretend they are. Doesn't mean I love them any less.

Perfect analogy.
