So your post could have just read something like this .......

Tennessee sucks and is good at nothing. Everybody they play or beat just sucks too. All other teams in the country are actually good and the Vols are bad.

Could have just stated the above. What a great take

The luster, mystique, the silver spoon of entitlement. Many, many schools have as much FB tradition yet play by the same rules as all others! Like being in conferences, fan bases, and academics for example. Again, my post was not to offend or instigate a negative response. Great school for sure and would look good on anyone's resume (even mine HA) but so do many others. I just don't see what's so special is all.

They've been a darling for a long long time. I can recall black and white ND highlights on the tube during the 60s growing up in E TN. Pretty sure it aired every Sunday. There's an enormous amount of history surrounding that program. No escaping the reverence they'll receive.

Yes those ND highlights often preempted Star Trek reruns on Sundays it was really aggravating.

I'm fine with it. I think we're better than Iowa St for sure, especially when we get some guys back but at this point, not a big deal.

Yes. Squeaked by an unranked team in a game that had to go into overtime. Generally the polls have a tendency to not reward that situation in the past.

But they usually don’t punish a team by dropping them either.

That would have been an even worse. Idaho State’s an FCS team.
