Are we still 15th?

I don't think a 10-2 ND squad will be in the playoffs. Boise game wasn't a big deal once they lost to USF to open the season. USC lost to Illinois.

There really aren't any big games that can propel Notre Dame forward. I don't even think they would be ahead of a host of 9-3 Big Ten/SEC schools going into the last week of the season.
That USC loss hurt them if they were needing to beat USC for quality win.

They lost to Idaho State or whoever it was last year and still made the playoffs and, the media keeps them afloat in the polls.

I should have used blue font on my OP.

If they stick to their word and include strength of schedule, ND will not get in. They do not have a ranked team left on schedule.

Expect us to stay the same - Bama will jump us - so someone has to move below us - if that doesn't happen we will be 16.

Folks keep saying that, but I want no part of Vandy right now. They've got weapons on offense and a legit defense. They're physical as all get out and much better tacklers than some of our guys. Plus, they believe. They're a dangerous game for anyone in this league. I'm so thankful that we get them at the end of the season. Hopefully, they'll be beaten up for us by then. If not.....look out.

Yes glad we play them the last game of the year because they do appear to be clicking - though competition level has been light.

Psstt....it's Notre Dame. 10-2 definitely gets them in. Wouldn't be shocked to see 9-3 be enough for the golden domers.
ND has no top 25 games left on their schedule, they should win out they lost both of their ranked games already. So they'll be in the playoffs with no ranked wins and no conference championship game. Its good to be King.

UT probably drops a spot or two..

Thats what happens when you have to go to OT to beat an unranked team / Mississippi State

No one notable in front of lost. Does anything change with tomorrow’s rankings?

4 of the top 8 teams lost - FSU had the worst loss to an unranked team so they are really the only team that could drop significantly. Bama is going to jump us just because they beat UGA ... but they lost to FSU which lost to Virginia.

If we drop it is not because we beat an unranked team in OT - it is because a team below us beat the 5th ranked team.

State was 27th per the polls not top 25 but they are a sound team with a good coach.

We gotta drop. Miss St is dog water, cuse got exposed, bama beat UGA who everyone that was a world beater. What it comes down to is we are not very good, and some of the teams that we thought were good in fact are not

If we "are not very good," then there are a lot of "not very good" teams in the top 25.

Notre Dame can do no wrong. Ever. By kicking the crap out of a bad team, the voters will reward them by having them jump all the way up to just outside the top 10. Im betting 11.

Syracuse lost their QB - they are a very different team without that QB.

I just don't get it with ND. Good school no doubt but why all the fans and media love? Is it the half truth folk lore tradition? I mean, one does not have to be Irish or even a specific religious denomination to attend! Plus, South Bend is no daisy!
I certainly don't want to offend anyone, I just have never gotten why? Just another school in my eye's.

The AP poll will move Mississippi State into top 25 and put them at 14 and keep Tennessee at 15 is my prediction.

Their justification is that MSU is also now 4-1 and nearly beat number 15 at home in overtime, so they must be 1 spot better.......

Syracuse lost their QB. Everyone knows this.
