ARK seems to have a lot of momentum now ....they really should have beaten AL but the bammers lucked up again. I hope we have worked on penalties and getting the first downs....we seem to sputter so much on getting first downs and DEFENSE. I think ARK will have their best game so we have to be prepared to play 4 quarters...if we get behind early, we are sunk! I just hope the team that played GA shows up and I believe they will.....I do have faith! GO VOLS!

Plunder your right, because if we get behind its over. I think our offense has to come out and set the tone early.

I hope the team that showed up in the first half of the SC game shows up. The team that was in the 2nd half should stay home. :)

I would like for the Offense that showed up for the UGA game and take the Defense that showed up for the 4th Quarter of the South Carolina game.

Those two combined would be a nice compliment to one another.

I don't dount our offenses ability to come back from behind, especially against Arky. My concern is whether we can stop the run. Arkansas doesn't have much of a defense, so we should be able to score more than usual.

But what truly concerns me is the massive holes and long runs Louisiana Lafayette was able to put on us. Yea, we blew them out, but when I watched the replay, I was shocked at how many times their running back came shooting through the line untouched and rattled off 15 and 20 yard runs. If McFadden get's holes like that, the secondary won't be hauling him in like we were capable of with the Cajuns.

I don't like our chances. Sorry, I will be screaming my freak'n head off though. I think if we can get by this one we have a good shot to get to Atlanta. But Mcfadden and Monk. I just don't see this defense stopping them.

The same can be said about their defense stopping Foster, Ainge, and Taylor...Both defenses are weak and imo if we can just somehow slow dmac down and make Dick beat us, I like our chances...

Ola amigos. Do not fear the Nutt. We are quite adept at blowing leads in the 4th qtr.:cray:

Welcome. I personally hope you don't have that chance. I would like to see our bench players get some PT. :)

3rd downs on D have killed us this year if we can do better there we have a real good chance to win out.

I love this. Hog fans and Vols fans arguing over who has a better chance to blow this game.

Here to hoping we're eatin' bar-b-que by the third quarter. If not, watch out.

I'm afraid that some may be underestimating our defense. And if there are holes that big in your defensive line, McFadden is not the only one you have to worry about.

Both teams have been inconsistent so I dont know what to really expect.

Well if you can slow Dmac down you also have to contend with Felix Jones.

Jones ran for 129 yards on his first 4 carries against S.C.

I always enjoy coming to ya'lls board and reading Vol fans opinions and ideas.

good luck with the game

Hello Vols!!! How's my adopted second home/state?
I think Tennessee could just possibly be the most beautiful state in the union....

I think the Hogs played their best and most perfectly executed game against SC ~ Very little mistakes, penalties, poor decisions... I look for that trend to reverse itself Sat. ~ Neyland is murder to come in to, and large crowds unnerve Nutt~ Plus, Ainge scares me to death...He's probably the most like an NFL QB of all QB's in the SEC ~ I think if he gets into a rythm early, look out...Woodson did that to us in the second half and we had no answer ~ If your D can get to the point of attack with 5/25 before they turn the corner, it'll be a long miserable day for us...

kentucky actually ran all over in the second half. Woodson hit on a few, but for the most part, the ball was crammed down your throats.

Our defense has gotten better each week. Ainge isn't good enough to draw all the attention to himself to open the run game. The boys in orange will be getting their throats crammed with pig come Saturday.

I don't expect it to go very well for us Saturday...I guess it depends on which Arky coaching staff shows up....The smoke draw 55 times, or the willing to take chances staff... and I'm not so sure TN won't be able to stop 5/25 ~ They've had 2 weeks to study film...

Our defense has gotten better each week, but how to validate that, I do not know. Ainge isn't good enough to draw all the attention to himself to open the run game. However, he really doesn't have to be very good because our secondary is the worst in the history of the SEC.
helped you complete some of your thoughts there.

Don't squeal too loud...If it gets to the point where we have to throw, we're gonna look like fools...And UT can throw, and we can't do anything about it...

it wont get to that point. The Vols will practice good, scheme to prevent big plays and get all hyped up!! But that all gets thrown out the window when 5 or 25 speeds by them and ruins there day. Then they get tired and our backs get stronger. Long day for 106,000+
