What a lot of folks haven’t realized yet and I’ll admit that I didn’t realize either is that Tennessee was quality depth away from completely embarrassing Bama. Once the defense gets more pieces Tennessee has the potential to be a nightmare for everyone on the schedule.

Whoa, Nellie! The excitement is perfectly understandably. And after almost two decades of battered Vol syndrome and heartbreak, doubly so. But this is one season, this was one game. A body of work over time must unfold before enshrining an era of greatness. Much as I dislike saying it, especially to fellow Vols fans:
