So the single game one is up and running for Ball State.
Not sure, but I imagine that @Freak will post the season long contest sometime today or tomorrow for sure...likely won't include any Thursday or Friday games since the betting lines on all of those seem pretty wide spread.

I'm disappointed to say that I discovered this past week that the software we've used in the past for the season-long pick contest has shut down. I've looked for an alternative but have not been able to come up with a suitable replacement. I may end up coding a custom solution, but that will take some time.

If anyone has suggestions (not an online site where everyone has to re-register) or has the tools to quickly create a custom solution for us, shoot me an email at vol_freak@yahoo.com. If we come up with something I'm opened to doing a shortened season.

Only other one I've heard of is officesportspools.com
I would post a link, but on the work laptop and they block anything and everything even remotely associated with 'gambling' as a site...actually kind of surprised they let me on here most times. LOL

It was hard enough to get folks to get their picks in when the sheets were managed on this site.
Makes it even worse when you ask people to go to another site, register on that site, and enter a specific group.

That said, I wouldn't be completely opposed to going to CBS or ESPN and having a VolNation group.
It would give Freak a year to iron out a better solution.
My one question would be is can our pool manager choose what games are being picked or is that all controlled by the site owner?

@Freak thoughts?

I'm still trying to come up with a local solution. Like you, I'm not thrilled with the idea of everyone having to go to another site and register and all that.

Im not always attentive on this board until right when season is coming along, but i didnt notice any pick ' em threads. Did that go away?

Remember to jump on board for this weeks pick the score and weekly pick contest. I think I'm missing some info because I can't find anything though search or listings about it. I guess it would be prudent to ask IF it's really gone and some info other that Volfreak said so.

The score contest is linked in the post right above mine. And you can scroll through the rest of this thread to read about the weekly season-long contest, which is on hold for right now.
