Are we better off facing an undefeated UF?

Florida hasn't played a defense as good as ours and they struggled putting up points on Kentucky. We just need to score. Hurd goes for 100 and we win.

Tennessee can rush for more than Florida, VOLS can win.

Gonna be very difficult being an afternoon game in Gainesville.

Fourth year in a row that we are very capable of breaking the streak. Whether we do or not will be seen in a week.

I'm skeptical for good reason but I'd love to see the VOLS end the streak.

I really don't want UT to lose. I'd like to be able to log into volnation without receiving an error message.

The last decade, with rare exception, Florida had the better team. In some cases, it wasn't close.

In this case, I just expect Tennessee to have too many opportunities to not cash in on enough of them.

Florida's offense is where you would expect it to be. It's capable of making a play here and there, but not consistently.

Put 3 drives together worth a crud in this game against Kentucky. 1 TD, 1 Int, 1 Blocked FG.

If Tennessee doesn't whip Florida at the line of scrimmage defensively, I would be shocked.

I expect Florida to do some things, make some plays, but not enough.

Accurate, top to bottom.

Awful lot of trepidation in here. We are not playing the ghosts of the past decade. We are playing the team (albeit on the road) picked mid-pack in the East. Are we really so superstitious, that we expect our team to have to play near perfect in order to eke out a win. Yet, this is the same Team that we are believing has this "chance" to win the East?

If we can't beat UF in the mess they are in, then we might as well drop this talk of having a shot at the East, beating UGA, beating Mizz, beating Arky, playing with Bama etc etc.

But, then I think of all the things that have happened to us against UF, like 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2014 ... and I go

If UT falls to Florida again, I'd expect an attempted rebound effort against Georgia in Knoxville. Odds may possibly be in our favor to beat Georgia. However, if we lose that one then UT will be 0 - For three against OU (home), Florida and Georgia (home).

At that point winning the east will be a long shot. Tennessee's best chance is to win out after a probable Bama loss, resulting in an 8-4 season with no signature wins against conference heavyweights.

Hard for me to say because honestly I've felt like the last 2 years Florida was very beatable and we still didn't come out with the W so I'm not going to go and pop the cork early just because we look more talented.

Really won't be surprised either way. First to 14 wins. We're the better team on paper and should win, but my memory only covers 11 UT-UF games and we've lost 10 of them. (I was 7 in 2004 and still remember it crystal clear.) That's more than half of my life, and a difficult hurdle for me to overcome.

Hopefully, Team #119 is not as scared as VolNation. If you've never experienced it, beating someone on their home turf is like nothing else. UF wins, my neighbor cuts an "F" in my front lawn...WE win, he gets an orange Power T on his...it's time.

One really encouraging thing I have noticed watching Florida through 3 games is there lack of any real running game. They have good backs but their run blocking is almost nonexistent. Thieu O-Line is bad even compared to ours. 9 at of 10 times the team with more rushing yards wins this matchup. We have the advantage at RB and at O-Line. We have got to feed Hurd and Karma the ball and wear down thier really good defense.

At this point, I would take a win over a completely demoralized 0-3 UF that rolled over in the 1st quarter. However, they're 3-0 and you can almost guarantee they will play their best game of the year against UT.

As in every year that we play Florida, if we get more rushing yards we will win. I think we can run it down their throats...

GBO!!!

Underrated post IMO; the team that wins the ground game almost always wins this game.

I think you're sandbagging a little bit 99. You're being kind.

Not saying your statements aren't honest and accurate, but I suspect you know that at some point, Tennessee will make the mistake(s) that opens the door for Florida to win the game. Yes, Florida is usually the better team/program, but it takes more than just that to rattle off 10 in a row and 18 of 22 vs one of your biggest "rivals". I suspect you believe/know this and are in fact pretty confident that this game plays out to script, as usual, with a Florida win.

I do think part of the game plan will be to be conservative, lean on the defense and hang around, and hope Tennessee does something stupid that leads to scoring opportunities.

I think one of the advantages Florida could have is that if it is an ugly defensive game, Florida would be less frustrated and more comfortable in that kind of game than Tennessee.

I expect UF's defense to keep them in the game long enough for our coaches to do something stupid. I hope I am way off.

We will not win this game

I have full faith in jones lack of aggressivness and balls.. We will kick field goals.. Floridas qb will run around the field picking up 1st downs

We should all put $5000 on florida.. That way when we win the money we wont feel so bad when tn loses. Sorry to be so negative, but i REFUSE to take UT serious until we win a big game
