Are we better off facing an undefeated UF?

Floridas defense is very good. Oklahoma gave them the blueprint and we will struggle offensively. Mightily.

Their mobile QB will give us fits and our d-line isn't what we thought it would be.

Throw in home field and Florida has a decided advantage IMO.

And we have Butch, who certainly can't handle the big stage

Yikes. They may win because we've built this into summiting Everest but their offense is still a speedbump and little else.

UF had 125 passing and 120 rushing against UK today. I like those odds.

Yeah they both would need to put up 200 yds rushing to wear down our Defense, with McNeil back, and EB bringing it, I expect our secondary to have a few ints.

dont think it matters.

florida is exactly as advertised. if tennessee is what they should be, tennessee should win

It's not a good matchup for Tennessee. Florida has a dominant defense, we still have major issues on offense. Gonna take a great effort and clean, if not perfect game for Tennessee to get out of Gainesville with a win.

Perfect? None have been. We just need to have less warts.

I dont think UF needs 24. For that matter I dont think IT does either.

Agree. Unless we get a defensive or special teams TD, there's no way we get to 24 points vs Florida. Fortunately, our defense is very good and Florida's offense isn't. Grier however concerns me greatly.

He gets out of trouble well.

Florida hasn't played a defense as good as ours and they struggled putting up points on Kentucky. We just need to score. Hurd goes for 100 and we win.

Grier can extend drives and plays that are otherwise dead. It is gonna be annoying in what will likely be another defensive struggle.

Big plays and broken plays can be the difference in this one. Hopefully the ball bounces our way a few times.

The next few weeks, the talent levels are comparable - good d v good o, etc. Coaching and prep will be important, but the player match-ups and execution will be more critical, especially in light of the OU game.

For Florida game, the w/r must be able to get separation and we need to complete a couple of deep routes to open the box. With the legit run game, it seems that our best match-up is the inside routes, with the slants from the T/E and slot and wheel-routes from the backs.

Grier is banged up, nursed his shoulder, ribs and elbow the entire second half, but he can still run, and so can Harris

Doesn't matter who the FLA QB is. Grier and Harris could both go down and some world beater would come off the bench and have the game of his life against us. I would rather FLA be unbeaten though. They may crack the Top 25 this week too.

UT is getting the exact same Florida they saw last year; ridiculously good defense, completely average-to-below-average offense.

This wont be a high-scoring game. 17 points for either side may win it.

As in every year that we play Florida, if we get more rushing yards we will win. I think we can run it down their throats...

GBO!!!

Minimal penalties, zero turnovers and some great special teams play to even have a chance to beat Florida next week IMO. The Gators will play with a tremendous amount of confidence against us. It's like Swain said....Florida will take away our run, dare Dobbs to beat us deep (which he's shown no ability to do to date) and wait for Tennessee to make THE mistake or two which allows Florida to take control of the game. They expect it, we expect it....does Tennessee have a player on its roster who can overcome everything the Florida game represents and make the play(s) needed to pull out a win and stop the streak? We'll see.

Fourth year in a row that we are very capable of breaking the streak. Whether we do or not will be seen in a week.
