Are We Bama's Trap Game?

Bama lost their trap game already, and it took the football act of god in multiple turnovers to do it. If you think Saban will have these guys overlooking another game all year you're insane.

If we beat bama, some on here will still argue it's not a "signature win." Somehow the negas will find a way to attribute the win to Alabamas mediocrity.

....in our players and in our coaches! We CAN do this if we have the WILL to do it. David brought Goliath down with a small pebble...he had the WILL. I believe every one of our players will exceed all expectations. All things are POSSIBLE, if you only BELIEVE!!!

Rubbish. Beating Florida, Georgia or Alabama is always a signature win. Period. No need for discussion.

Although it's been lopsided as of late, if you ask CNS how important this game is to college football he would not belittle it by calling it a trap game. I think they will have trouble with Dobbs and this game will be close. However I'm not sure we can pull it out, but this is the best chance UT has had in a while to get a W. It would be a nice stamp on the season if the good guys could somehow get the win, especially considering what could of been against Oklahoma and Florida, can't wait till Sat.

I'm just glad it's not a night game. That will help with the overall roudyness of the crowd. I think that we have the talent to win. We lost by 14 points last year. We should have beaten Florida. Who absolutely destroyed ole Miss. Who beat bama. They aren't some juggernaut. They are very beatable.

I'm more afraid of Butch curbing the passing game because it's Alabama and he won't want to risk interceptions.

Nope! Bama will be motivated to come out and put us away early. They will want to get out without any injuries then focus on LSU.

No this is not a "trap game" for Alabama. This is a rivalry game for us and just as someone said earlier in the thread we hate y'all as much as y'all hate us so I doubt anyone will have a hard time getting up for this game. If anything, playing this game in TTown is more of an advantage for y'all than us. We haven't played very well at home this season but have played very well on the road. We've been that way for two years now. Not sure what to make of that either.

Honestly, I don't want to cheapen the win if UT pulls it off.

I'm not calling for a win. Bama is the best team UT will have faced. There are a lot of factors in their favor.

But I see a path to victory. For the first time in awhile, UT has enough talent to win with great coaching, good execution, and some breaks.

If the game is coached like UGA... with UT trying to impose their will from the start AND Dobbs plays well... then UT has a shot. I think a better shot than many expect. The Bama D's Achilles Heel under Saban has been running QB's. It keeps them from anticipating so quickly then filling their gaps. I think the recipe is to sell out to stop Bama's run game then balance on O with Dobbs throwing and running.... pretty much the same as UGA.

Yes... Bama is a better team than UGA. OTOH, UGA only had 17 offensive points.
WHAT? We are too young to beat bama

They will be ready to play, count on that. A lot is going to have to go right for Tennessee to win this one. But, if they do CBJ is going to have a free pass for at least a couple years.

They lost to Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa. Florida killed Ole Miss. We gave Florida the game at the end. I do believe that this is the first time in along time that we CAN beat Bama. Defense just HAS TO STEP UP

We are to them what Vanderbilt is to us.

They hate us, but they are expected to beat us and would be embarrassed to no end if they lost. They get up as much to avoid the humiliation of defeat than as to enjoy the victory.

No way Saban and Kiffin overlook UT. They will plan for Dobbs, Hurd and Sutton-- and adjust as needed. Count on it.
