Are we any better than USCjr?

We're on their level program wise right now. It would be really interesting right to see how the SC game would have ended if their special teams guy wasn't an idiot and got away from the ball. I wonder if they would have driven down and won.

No we are the worse team in college football and we will never be relevant again with in the next 120 years.

Depends on the context.

If by "better" you mean historical track record, or having more program resources, then Tennessee is better. And it isn't even close.

If by "better" you mean track record over the last 10 years or so, or the current state of the respective programs, then no. They are better, and there's actually a noticeable gap between the two.

We’re not really good or bad, honestly. It’s been very odd in Pruitt’s tenure. On any given Saturday, one of two teams shows up, sometimes it happens from quarter to quarter.

You either get really bad “I don’t understand how football works” Pruitt Vols:
2018 Vandy, 2019 GA State, 2018/2019 Florida, second half of 2020 Arkansas, 2020 Kentucky, second half of 2020 Georgia, etc.

Or you get really good Pruitt Vols: 2018 Auburn, 2018 KY, 2019 South Carolina, 2019 Mizzou, first half of 2019 Bama, 2020 Mizzou, first half of 2020 Georgia.

2020 Arkansas from first half to second half is a good case study of this. Betting on this team in any capacity is absolutely foolish, it’s probably the most Jekyll/Hyde coaching tenure I’ve ever witnessed.

Pruitts average margin of defeat in conference is 25 pts

Muschamps was 15 pts

South Carolina is getting ready to make money moves, Tennessee is going to do what Tennessee does.... They're going to take advantage of a loyal fan base and continue to put a sh!t product on the field and charge Alabama prices. I'm looking at you Fulmer

The TN job is better than the South Carolina job. The gap is narrowing some obviously but there's still a noticeable gap. If Coach A got offered by UT and USC and there was no $$$ difference, he'd choose UT.

The question is whether the UT job is better than Auburn. That one is debatable. If you excluded the administration, UT is the better job but Auburn wants to win more than us.

Auburn also has an expectation of beating Bama, not just hopefully playing a good half of football against them.
