Are We All In Agreement Now?

Is the division between noon games and night games a division among fans who have a big social component to games and fans who simply enjoy the game?

If i needed time to shake off a Friday night hangover, or had a huge tailgate planned, or liked getting drunk for a game, I would want a later kickoff. Since none of those things matter to me, it doesn't matter what time they kickoff.

I was glad the game was early. We had time to enjoy it and still have an evening to do something else.

Same here! Other than the heat it was a great time to have the game. And the traffic leaving the stadium was soooo much smoother than at Neyland. We were on the road and to our hotel 15 miles away thirty minutes after the game ended and were able to go out and eat, ride go-karts/swim/watch football the rest of the evening. It was a great experience for us and being at noon allowed us to still be able to do a lot of things we wanted for the rest of the day. I just wish there weren't so many other games on between noon-1pm because I would've liked more football choices in the evening.

I don't think we will have to worry about noon games next year. We will be in primetime spots.

Are we all in agreement now that 12pm games suck for everyone involved and should be banned from ever occurring again?

Hard not to like it because we win these games. Personally though I think they suck!

I would be happy to watch the Vols playing at 3 am in a dust storm. Wait, I have watched them at 3 am while in a dust storm. Haha.

But seriously, most important for me is what works for our lads. I think they probably prefer later starts, you know, being college kids whose body clocks push for sleeping late and staying up late. So I'd be with Coug on this, mid-afternoon or early evening start times probably best for the team.

This is exactly why I started this thread! This bowl game and the North Texas game both started at noon and for the first half of both games it seemed like TN was sleepwalking. Yes, we ultimately pulled out both wins in the end but it's a rough start.

Love noon games if I'm watching on TV. Gives me time for coffee and Game Day. Then the game. Then I have the rest of the day.

Well when I was overseas in Germany the early kickoff times were actually pretty nice. Almost felt like they where prime time. Pretty weird how that happens... :p

Nope, best times are between noon and 2:00 p.m. Late games suck and should be banned from ever occurring again.

A good thing about noon games is if you win you can enjoy the rest of the games but on the flip side if you lose it almost makes me not even bother with the other games sometimes.
