Im thinking about taking my family to the game on Saturday, and I wanted to get some feedback from you guys who have been to Lexington before.

Are UK fans in general hospitable?

Can you get a ticket from a scalper easily at UK?

Thanks and GO VOLS!

I've been to one game in Lexington. In general, everyone was pretty civil. After we won, an 80 year old man tried to start a fight with one of my friends, but besides that no issues. The basketball fans are another breed though. Nothing but bad stories there.

Does a bear go in a woods?? UK fans are horrible!! I wear my orange UT jacket everywhere and I have had chicken wings thrown at me and cussed at. I also was at one UK game and two kids about dumped a plate full of ketchup on my head!!!

Aren't the football fans and the basketball pretty much the same people? :p The "football fans" would probably be just as foul if they were given something to be foul about.

UK fans are straight up border trash.

I think the couchburning virus has migrated there from Columbus and Morgantown.

The last time I was there, I had the passenger side rearview removed from my truck because it had a power T on it.

Stay classy, Lexington...

If UT has a good basketball year, awesome, if not, it doesn't bother me. My sister and her husband who live in Lexington will camp out days before March Madness in Rupp, but they feel about football how I feel about basketball.

You won't have to worry about fans around Commonwealth stadium.

I've been to TN/KY games in Lexington and most Cats fans I encountered were pretty nice. I went up to KY a few years ago and an older KY gentlemen invited us over to sit around and talk outside his RV. There are always a few bad apples in the bowl anywhere including Neyland Stadium. I'm making the trip Saturday and I don't know what to expect. I hope it doesn't get ugly for those of us in orange if the Cats happen to win.

UK football fans are the most tormented bunch in the SEC. A trip to commonwealth is typically far more pleasant than a trip to Athens or Gainesville.

been to two games there...both cold and wet. Fans are OK. Stadium a little small but no real bad seats.

If the weather's cold, they always have a lot of really good local bourbon and are more than willing to share.

Bah, don´t pay any attention to the Kentucky haters. Most of them have a cousin who lives in the Commonwealth that they can´t stand.

Kentuckians are some of the most genteel, polite people you´ll know.

There are also trash. Like anywhere. Every state has them.

As a season ticket holder before I left the country, I can say that for the most part, we treat opposing fans well. In previous years, most opposing fans were treated to a win by their team. There are exceptions, but you´ll find most Kentuckians eager to be polite to guests.

In prior years, scalpers were the norm. This year, it´s harder to come by them. If you´re wearing orange, you might have to pay double. :p I honestly don´t know what to tell you on that account. But in previous years, tix were not a problem.

"You boys like popsicles?" "I got a tip in my pocket, why don't you fish it out?"

I didn't know Herbert from Family Guy was a UK fan. :)

Over the past 20 years, I've traveled to Lexington 4 times. EVERY game has been wet and cold....but we always won!

The fans, up till now, have been the most hospitable in the SEC. Maybe because it's because of their downtrodden past but they have always been rather cowered by the presence of UT fans....

This year could be much different...hostility and maybe even anticipation of a victory could easily turn them into UK basketball-type fans...but this would be a new breed, one I've not seen there previously.

They always are shouting "wait 'till basketball season" after the football game, but in the 2 times I've been to a game there, they were really nice. But that was before I became a smartass.

that was also before CBP came to town. They don't have that fallback sport anymore to taunt the Big Orange with
