USCe wasn't an overwhelmingly talented team that year. They had several close games against bad teams and lost to UT who wasn't a good team.

Spurrier simply knew how to win even when he didn't have all of the advantages. But... whatever you want to believe.


Let's put it this way. The USCe team last year that Muschamp led to victory over Jones was less talented than that UT team. UT's team in '16 had considerably more depth of talent than the earlier USCe team.

If you want to call that one game a genuine upset... then I won't spend any more time arguing that. Problem is... that's the only one standing against several bad losses.

You totally changed your argument. I never once discussed last year's loss to USCe and would agree that USCe was less talented. I also never said CBJ was an outstanding coach. You asked a question, and I answered, and I don't think the answer is debatable. They beat two top ten teams, and our win most likely prevented them from playing in a BCS game.

But you could only respond with some deflection. It's par for the course over here. Glad you have some miserables to converse with. How dare you give some credit to CBJ for a game he shouldn't have won.

12 players drafted including 3 first rounders. That's only including the 14 and 15 draft class. Not including guys like Neal, VH3, etc who were drafted in 2016

Spurrier was 228-89-2 in his career, with an overall winning percentage of 71%.

He has 1 ACC conference title at Duke
He has 1 National Championship title at Florida
He has 6 SEC titles at Florida
He has 2 SECe division titles at Florida
He has 1 SECe division title at South Caronlina

You want to compare that to CBJ's resume so far?

By your logic Pat Narduzzi is a better coach than Dabo Swinney because Clemson lost to Pitt last season.:crazy:

Holy cow! You are so far gone on your hatred for Butch Jones, that you can't pick up on ( what should have been) obvious sarcasm.

The dumbass that I quoted gave a weak ass comment that because because Brett Beliema beat Butch head to head,how could anyone argue that Butch was a better coach. I gave an example of Butch beating a coach head to head 2 times, that would run circles around Butch that blows that theory out of the water.

But noooooooo, you are you worried that someone might say something good about Butch, that you had to give hard evidence of Spurriers accomplishments. You're so predictable.

I hope you didn't spend a lot of time to look those numbers of Spurriers up. My comment wasn't worth it.
