Nope i'm not a doole believer. I no longer believe Dooley can win with this team. Good teams find ways to win games and bad teams find ways to lose games. We always find a way to lose by any means necessary. Even the way we manage that isn't consistent.

We are dropping 8 because our secondary is not fast enough to cover 1 on 1 so they have to drop to help. They aint doing it just to be doing it

Before anyone attaches themselves to Dooley you need to consider that UT football NEVER finished back to back years at the bottom of the SEC. It is about to happen.

I am an alum and started watching Tn football during Bill Battle days. Nice guy, tries hard, loses to doormats, doesn't beat the big boys. We are in the same place. I love tn and hoped DD would succeed. I think it is the time to pull the trigger now and change, just as it was time to remove Fulmer. Bama removed a NC winning coach and got lost in the weeds for a bit before they found Saban to save them. We need to not be afraid to do the same. Maybe it will be the next hire or the next. We need to not be afraid anymore and just go for it. Or, decide to be middle of the pack and live with it. Tn can be a contender or pretender. I still love them but we need to decide where we desire to be.

Isn't the kicking game Derek's supposed area of expertise, his focus? Just look at this one game:

- A 14 yard punt
- 6 men on line of scrimmage negates 49 yard punt
- A time out for FG defense
- A kick off out of bounds
- A fumbled punt return
- A totally botched pooch kick

Aside from CP the kicking game is a complete embarrassment.

I want to be a David Shula, I mean Derek Dooley supporter, but if the kicking game is Derek's forte and, after 2 1/2 years, these are the results, then what are we to think?

My support for CDD is over. My support for the young men and women that come to TN will never end. I just hope that Hart has the skills and backing to go get someone who can really make a difference.

At least we have basketball now.

yep where is count vol negateer carl pickens blazer and the rest of the dooley pumpers. i don't think they will ever admit they were wrong eventhough they have to know they were.

time for a change. unfortunately the $$$ may not be there. The athletic department lost over 4 mil last year.

We will need to spend a lot of $$$ to get someone worth a damn.

I know what you mean. I've fought with a lot of good posters on this site for a while, but to me I don't care about proving to someone else that I was right or wrong, I just want this football team to be competitive again.

Dooley has to go.

Lastly, the thing that kills me about Dooley is that not only is he a loser...he's also an ass to a lot of people who support him. I never understood that.

I firmly believe Dooley has reached his ceiling as a coach. I have been patient but its becoming obvious that he doesn't have what it takes.

nothing against dooley; its strictly business, but he should never been considered, let alone hired as vol h.c. i don't blame dooley, i blame mike hamilton, another man way in over his head. derek dooley and todd raleigh are the two glaring examples of his incompetence. hart's at best adequate, which is miles beyond where mike hamilton could ever hope to be.

I never really thought he would be more than a "gatekeeper" till we got our act together.

Anything beyond that was based more in optimism than reality.

I'm all for keeping Dooley, Jay Graham, Ron Mac, and Sam Pittman. I would be fine with replacing the rest.

Putting the same guy in the same situations and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. And thinking a horrible decision is going to suddenly morph into a good one is also insanity. We should cut our losses and try to save our recruiting class. That's what matters most at this point.

I'm still willing to wait. 6 more games to play. However unlikely it may seem, imagine if we won one of or both of the next two and somehow still finished 9-3 or 8-4. 8-4 was always the minimum for an acceptable season. As long as it is mathematically possible to get to 8-4 I won't jump off the ship.

If/when we do drop that 5th game, I will join.
