Are there any coaching "projects" out there yet to be discovered?

Wasn't Mark Richt somewhat of a wildcard for UGA? I know he was an accomplished OC for FSU, but sometimes OC's do not make good HC's.

Bud Foster, strict, very disciplined blue collar guy. Regarded as one of the best assistant coaches in the country for some time now. Been with Beamer since '87 I believe, and has at least had interest from other programs in the past for his services as a head coach but has never taken one. Certainly would be an unproven recruiter and would need to surround himself with plenty of offense minded guys, say, a Malzohn (sp?) type

From what I've heard from VT fans, he's the heart and soul of their team/coaching staff. If we could pull him as a DC or something, that'd probably be great. I wouldn't want to take a chance as HC though.

There's a reason Foster has been an assistant at Va. Tech for 20+ years. He's a clown. I'd rather have Fulmer coach twenty more years at UT than have Bud Foster on Tennessee's staff for 20 seconds.

Brian Kelly, Tim Brewster (some higher up boosters are rumored to favor him) and Brady Hoke...

Brady Hoke at Ball St. is the next great coach IMO. He has been listed a possible replacement for us here at UW. Joe Glenn must go! Ball st. is a dump and is in a terrible city, what he has done their is simply amazing.

Heard Fulmer may be a candidate for the Cowboys spot...

IMO Jerry Moore is too old and Brady Hoke would be in waaay over his head coming from Testicle State.

I would really like to see Brian Kelly land in knoxville. I followed his teams while he was in Michigan (GVSU/CMU). He's the kinda coach that doesn't recruit for his scheme, he recruits the best athletes he can get and tweeks his scheme to their talents.

Kelly would thrive here...

Agreed.

As for Hoke, he is a Ball State Alumni so I doubt he would leave for just any job. Regardless, I don't want him here.

So you're telling me Brady Hoke would Rather coach at Ball State then coach at a premier school in the best conference in America making double the money he's making now?:eek:lol:
