If we lose to Ole Miss we lose to Ole Miss but some of you make them sound like their world beaters.

1) they lost to an FCS school beginning of season
2) we play at home

I say we squeak it out and if we beat Ole Miss it just might give the cats their orange nation curse of the Vols

I am pretty sure he meant bowling , as with a round ball and 10 pins. and with some of these kids we have playing for us. The bumper rails to prevent them from getting gutter balls.

With all this said. It will be close and we could win. This team has to bring its A game every week to win out. Its hard to do. Lets all hope for it!

If you look at this one game at a time, each game seems very winnable assuming we've won the games preceding it.

Vandy already has 6 losses and will lose again to make them ineligible.

Ole Miss has 5 losses. A loss to UT gives them 6... and their last two games are LSU and MSU. They are more likely to 4-8 than 6-6 if UT beats them.

UK also has 5 losses already. With a loss to UT they will be 6-6 also. It doesn't always make complete sense however UT travels better than UK for football and should get the nod.

Finally, UGA also has 5 losses with GT and Aub left on the schedule. Best case IMO they finish 6-6 with a depressed fan base. Worst case (for them) they lose to both GT and Aub failing to meet bowl eligibility.

Agreed, if we win out, we'll go bowling. Assuming 2 SEC teams (Bama, Aub) get into BCS bowls, then there are 10 total bowl spots for SEC teams. If UK, UT and Ole Miss are all eligible, then only 2 of the 3 will go bowling. If we are bowl eligible, then the best UK or Ole Miss could do is 6-6. I'm assuming the Bham or Liberty Bowl would choose UT over either of them, because we travel better.

If we win out, and Bray goes off, it would be a great story line going into a bowl game. "True freshman Tyler Bray leads Vols to 4 straight wins and bowl eligibility."

In regards to the OP:

I'm an optimist, I think we do run the table, with our stiffest test coming against Ole Miss.

Memphis: no-brainer.
Ole Miss: We run all over them, just like EVERYONE they've played has done. The question is, can we stop their offense? I wouldn't be surprised if Wilcox took notes from the Auburn game this weekend.
Vandy: They'll play us tough, like they have been doing lately, but provided we don;t commit dumb turnovers, we'll win handily.
Kentucky: I'm thinking another nailbiter, being at home will be what pushes us to a victory.

As far as the bowl game goes: probably a loss.

We should beat Memphis. The rest ...well we have a shot against Vandy .

Turnovers , coaching gaffs , and youth should do us in where opportunity presents its self.

Our fundamental lack of a balanced offense ..despite having a back with big play potential will do it on the O side.

The lack of any notable halftime adjustments should ensure that the defense snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

No bowl. We're going 4-8 or 5-7.

We'll beat Memphis. They're terrible. They're really, really bad.

We'll probably get out coached by Houston Nutt.

We should beat Vandy. I'm heading to Nashville for this game, so I'm actually PRAYING that we'll win this one...

UK should mop the floor with us. Joker (with help from T. Martin) makes history by snapping the streak.

I hope so, but let's get the Memphis game in the win column and then continue to take one game at a time. We're not in the position to overlook anybody. GBO
