Are Shamburger and Middleton available Saturday?

Judging by Pruitt's comments, Shamburger is unlikely but Burrell and McCollough will be back. He said he "hopes" Middleton gets to play. The way Pruitt has acted this year... I would call that a yes.

Wasn’t Bryce playing safety last game? Hopefully with the return of McCollough he can move back to corner this week

Again, that is not a question you should be asking or posting. PHI shared without the person's permission is punishable under HIPPA ($10K) per occurrence. It doesn't matter the source, it could be seen as a sensitive matter more now than ever before.

I'm pretty sure sharing speculation/rumor is not a HIPPA violation..

HIPPA governs employers who have legal liability when it comes to an employee's health. I knew a lady who was fired for requesting prayer for someone. She worked in HR and had learned about the issue from the person... and assumed it was not sensitive.

If you find out your neighbor has AIDS... HIPPA does not govern what you do with that information. They may be able to sue you though.

Oh for the love... Anyone can ask anything they want to about injuries and illness and there is nothing any enforcement agency can do to the person asking the question. Enforcing HIPPA violations would require proof of knowledge and on a message board it's tough to prove that anyone knows anything. Regardless, how about this reword:

Could anyone with reason to accurately speculate upon the situation please comment as to whether there is reason to be concerned about the availability of Shamburger or Middleton beyond just the next few days, and if not, would a reasonable interpretation of a few days be less or more than 3 (being Saturday)?

Didnt reporters ask Trump if he tested positive -- numerous times ? Those idiots still have jobs

Was hoping we'd get Sham back this week so he could dust the rust off before we play UGA. Gonna need to be at full strength against them.

It does get confusing. Everyone seems to know Trey's issues and Mauer's concussions and it seems to be out in the open which pro players have covid. We know about some college players that have it or how many tested positive and then sometimes it is very secretive.
At one time didn't pro teams have to report injuries and if so, how is that impacted by hippa.

According to Volquest, Middleton probably plays this week, but they felt Shamburger wouldn't be available until the Georgia game. We shall see.

HIPPA normally applies to those who have access to information as a part of their job...nurses, drs, Counselors, insurance claim processors, etc.

They are not subject to HIPPA..... You have to have access to PHI and release it. You can stand in front of a hospital and ask patients if they have COVID-19 (or anything else) all day long.... Well, until security asks you to leave of course.

Now, if they were given PHI and made it public that could be a different story.....
