Let me explain. I have neighbor who is a gator fan. His comment to me after the last two games were this: "we would have beaten you guys even with Hunter but Bama only beat us because Brantley went out." I was speechless and thought I would post this to see if my experience with this was unique or others have had similar. Go Vols! Beat Ga like Elin Woods beat Tiger's suv...

In theory losing a qb is more important than losing a wr because the qb touches the ball more. However, UF wasn't beating Bama with Brantley, even though he looked pretty good in the 1st half.

He is both delusional and stupid, but I've encountered many a Vol fan on this site with similar delusions about their home team.

Tennessee would have lost, even with Hunter. Florida would have lost, even with Brantley.

Well this gator fan by the name of Dylan Ratliff sits in the front row of my class which im in right now but he claims Florida is a "REAL" program. I keep trying to tell him that Florida has half as many championships and half as many confernce titles as we do. Anyways I believe they're delusional.

You play with the breaks you get...we lost a very important option in our offense and they lost the QB...to some extent he is corrent about the difference of a WR compared to a QB importance but I get what you are saying..we will see who it effects the most.

Quit living in the past. Might as well be a fan of Lehigh.

florida was overmatched bigtime against Alabama---even with brantley they would have lost big. Saban let off the gas late, or that game would have been a lot uglier.

I like the fact that they keep talking about these "should have been picks" the Florida secondary dropped all game. It started out at 6, then 5, and now 4. Which is it? I only saw 2 int's the whole game. Getting close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Furthermore, those picks don't happen if Justin Hunter is still in the game. They should be talking about why their secondary had to commit so many holding and pass interference penalties all game. I tell you why...THEY GOT BURNT!!

Not all Florida fans are that bad. Not all Vols fans are so bright either

As for the living in the past thing, bug off. When your program is only 20 years deep... I guess I'd expect that.

I didn't realize Brantley was the star defensive player that would have kept Bama from scoring pretty much whenever they wanted to

I cant get over the ones who are willing to bet their lives Tim Tebow will have a better pro career than Peyton Manning. They are absolutely serious too!

Based on the point in the game when Hunter got hurt, who knows, but at the time Brantley got hurt, AL was kicking FL's butt pretty good.

You mean how they were so afraid of being beat deep they gave soft zone to Hunter on a 15 yard curl route? Or the point after Hunter went out when they eliminated the deep coverage and started blitzing.

This is why you don't talk football to a Gator fan... they're worse than brick walls because they try the "glove doesn't fit" argument... when the glove clearly fits. Then they deny it still... even as the glove clearly fits.
