If they were really looking off this site, I'm suprised there hasn't been an "investigation" into Tim Tebow and Urban Meyers' relationship.

Investigating would be talking to actual leads such as players and former players, not scrolling the posts of a message board where people are spread out all over the country.

This is such a pathetic attack at Kiffin its not even funny anymore. Why is their such a huge target on his back and why does everything he says come back to the university?

Its not investigating, they can use our site to get general topic leades...THEN they move on to investigate. I highly doubt that the NCAA will use the forums as a source of evidence as its all just hear say any way - and that is why they are interviewing recruits, but a train of thought has to start somewhere

My guess on this would be that someone tipped of the NYT writer (if that's what you want to call him). he Googles "Vol hostess" and stumbles right to our door...

no clue, probably a disgruntled HS Coach, SEC Coach or a recruit that didn't get the attention they felt they deserved.


it doesn't matter where this started, just that it ends and PRAY that it ends well before NSD.

obviously not, otherwise this would not have been said: "a large part of the investigation is centered around the use of recruiting hostesses, who have become notorious on tennessee internet message boards for their ability to help lure top recruits..."

i visit volnation almost daily to read up on news about my vols, admittedly i do not read every single post. however i have failed to see anything that would confirm these allegations

btw the nyt article would have gotten a D in my freshman english class at UT...countless over exaggerations and simple misunderstandings of the definitions of terms associated with the topic (investigation does not equal inquiry in this case)...many gray areas in their sources, along with a simple misunderstanding of how admission offices operate, yes Pete Thamel and Thayer Evans, they friended them on facebook and myspace...that happens to everyone, not just athletes they are being treated as a prospective student just like everyone else

Google "Tennessee Vols Hostesses." Notice the 4th link? I'm betting that it was #1 before the story broke.

Reporter gets a tip. Reporter goes to Google. Reporter is here, and VN is in the story.

Bama's players are taking steroids. I know for a fact because my roommate's friend is the backup kicker behind Tiffin at Alabama. The backup always talks about how he gets steroids so easily. I believe an investigation is in order.
