Archie Manning told Hamilton specifically Orgeron was a crook

Never take anyone's motivations and track record into account when they are giving advice. Just take it at face value and believe it. That'll serve you well in life.

Ms. Cleo has never steered me wrong.

:)

Thanks to her, I own a ton of stock in the company that makes "Shiwalas", and the Popeil Pocket Fisherman.

Just you wait and see, buddy...one of these days I'll be rich.

Go Vols.

Orgeron got TN into a total of no trouble.

Orgeron is like Rodney Garner, he may be cheating but he is smart enough to never ever get caught.

Kiffin and Reaves are not that smart.

That's what you took from Hat's post? Orgeron is the good guy? C'mon man...

Would you be happy with Peterson and Cutcliffe as HC's? The Mannings haven't exactly put all-star quality recommendations on the University's doortstep.

Hat said AM was underminding Orgeron at Ole Miss. As far as Peterson and Cutcliffe goes they were just being nice to their friends. Pat Summitt stood up for Peterson too! Pearl stood up for Fulmer before he was fired. That goes on all the time. They also say one thing in public and another in private. Sometimes it's just PR.

Orgeron was the recruiting coordinator. He and Kiffin knew what was going on with those hostesses. Reaves was just a patsy. Orgeron want get blamed by the NCAA but he is the one that got us in trouble. The cheating-rat-bastard!

Is it true Hamilton wants to go in the ministry now that he left the university. He must not have been to excited about Orgeron's reputation.

Isn't that when the oversight from the compliance office steps in, and says you cant do this?

A number of us (in the minority at the time) tried to tell the majority he was bad news. Unfortunately few listened because after all the man had a book written about him, so naturally he had to be God. Now of course, the one's that defended him the most are his harshest critics. What a bunch of dumb asses.

I can't believe Hamilton didn't listen. The Mannings have given UT such excellent advice on hiring/firing coaches in the past.

Yeah, what would the Mannings know about football compared to someone with as bad a track record as yours?

Sadly he's not. What he doesn't realize is that Archie wasn't bashing his coaching, he bashed the fact that he was as crooked as they get. And if Hamilton would've asked around, he would've gotten that response from more than just Archie.

Yeah, it's not like the fact Kiffin & O had been the recruiting coordinators at a program known to be under a major NCAA investigation for what happened at the program while they were there wasn't a red flag or anything.

He shares his well informed opinion.

Think of him as our version of House but without the cane and drug problem.

How do you know hat doesn't like a roofycolada from time to time?
