I love this game. Gonna be game of the year. First non-FPS I've played in a while.

Could I get some pointers. I just started playing. What should be my priorities starting out? Obviously there’s a lot of stuff to loot. Is there stuff that is pointless to pickup? What should I be looking for/focusing on?

I don’t get a ton of time to play so if I could figure what to priorities that would be great. Thanks to anybody that can give me a rundown.

Yeah I'm not sure about it. It's essentially a looting simulator, no? The PvPvE is kinda neat and leads to some funny interactions, just not sure I understand the point of this game.

I'm with you guys. I picked this up. It's fun, but as a new player it's difficult to figure out the game loop and exactly what to do and what to prioritize.

I haven’t been on in a minute. Gave it a good try because my daughter bought it for me but couldn’t get into it.

Ok this games stresses me out. I got it because I've heard a lot about it and wanted to see what the hype was about...

It is well done and appreciate the quality of the game, but I can't help but be consumed about worrying about running into hostile raiders. I'm just starting out, and therefore don't have any good weapons. Any good weapons I do find, I'm too scared of losing so I leave them in my stash.

I've recently learned that they've supposedly implemented aggression based matchmaking, but what if I shoot someone in self defense? Am I branded as aggressive at that point?

Now I only run with free load outs but I'm still on edge the whole time, lol!

Use the free load outs build up your stash and start building your workbenches, also suggest upgrading your stash bag so you can stock up on stuff.

I got about 20 hours into it before i got bored of it.
Really?! I've probably got 300 hours in it now and I still have fun. I've finished all the quests and projects so now I just play little games with myself. For example, right now I've got a watch collection to see how many watches I stack up on the shelf in the raider room. Before that I collected as many blueprints as I could to give away to unsuspecting raiders just to see how they'd react (that did NOT go as planned). Before that I tried to fill my inventory with matriarch and queen reactors. Anyhting to avoid PvP because when bullets start flying at me I panic!

I only run into a hostile raider once or twice in a 6-hour gaming session and I accidently shoot people a lot because I fight the matriarch a lot and I always defend myself if someone comes at me.

Once you find the blueprints for weapons you like, you can craft them pretty easily. It just takes a while to learn what materials to keep in your stash for crafting. If you don't want to craft, an easy way to stack weapons is to learn where weapons cases spawn and sprint straight to those spots each raid. For example, I found a video on YouTube of a weapons case route on Buried City. I don't hit them all, but depending on where I spawn I can usually hit 2 or 3 weapons cases every raid. The most consistent spots for me are the 3 near Merano Station, the room you can only get to by jumping on the zip through the alley a little north of Grandioso Apartments, Red Tower, below the parking garage, and top of Galleria tower (zip line required).

Do whatever it takes to find the survivor augment blueprint so if you get downed by an arc you can just crawl to the extract.

Just envision the bad raiders as mallards and it’ll be easy lol 😂
