Apple Iphone

Looks ok. If I were interested in it, I'd probably wait another year or two for bugs to be worked and the newer, slimer/smaller model to come out.

Then again, I get free cell service, so I wont have an iPhone for at least 5 years (I think 5 yrs is the initial exclusive deal with their carrier).

Like other portable Apple products, the iPhone will probably have a great interface and work fantastically, but have a battery life of roughly two and a half minutes.

Yikes- I didn't think about that.... :scare:

I would like to think it would be comparable to an Ipod for battery life. Ipod's have "ok" life to them...

5 year contract?! That won't last long.

I'm not sure you understood. Cingular has exclusive rights to sell the iPhone until sometime in 2009 according to the WSJ. This is what Dr. Rosen is referring to. Not saying you have to sign a 5 year contract of service... although you DO have to sign a 2 year.

Always wait on new cell phones. Wait for another company/brand to counter with a better one.

I thought it was a bit longer than 09. Then again, it was supposed to have been out by now.

I want to see one and play with it, but I know I wont own one anytime soon.

My comments on size where just talking about Apple products. They are a lot like Nintendo in that they consitantly sell you the same thing over and over in a new/smaller package.

For 8-12 months then it goes to hell.

Standard with all cell services.

But then the technology is played out and not as cool.

$499 for a 4 Gb! That sucks. The 80Gb is $349.99...Hmm 1,000 songs or 20,000? It's more for the gadgets than the music.

Do you get any iTunes credit with that? Or, do they have a monthly service? Seems like that would hook people that end up getting this phone. Another $10/mo and get unlimited DRM music for the device.

That would get me to buy one... unlimited music for $10/month would be nice. It could easily bankrupt Apple with that.

I don't think it would bankrupt them. There are already services that do this for $14.99 or more. (maybe even cheaper)
